The cafe is located at the back of the IGA complex with a generous outdoor patio area away from the main road. There is a concerted effort by the cafe to green up their area with plants (recently rejuvenated with spring on the way) and it really helps to break up the usual car park feel so many cafes can have in shopping centres. For families with young kids there is a great little section set up with plenty of toys to keep your little ones occupied. Having been here a few times I feel like I can confidently say that the food that we've had has been really good and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a great place for breakfast or lunch. There is a slightly Spanish bent to many things but also plenty for those just wanting a snack or something straight forward. I do find the coffee a little inconsistent depending on who is making it, not that it has bad flavor but more that the milk is over heated, perhaps that is just my personal preference though. The service is friendly and prompt regardless of weekday or weekend visits which is important. I just wish they were open on Sunday's and public holidays as we'd probably frequent them more than we do now. All in all this addition to the local cafe scene is a vey welcome one for us in Everton Hills and somewhere I would recommend if you're in the area.

A big thing to note is that this place is cash only. They do have an ATM onsite in case you need it. This is actually a quite big restaurant with at least 8 4-top booths and additional tables and chairs set up in the middle. The restaurant is very likely family owned - while I was waiting an older gentleman came out from the back carrying a baby, and sat down at an empty table to play with him. I walked in and got an order of Mongolian Beef as takeaway, and it ran about $11 AUD. What was awesome was that the kitchen is open and all the veggies, etc are displayed in a deli case, so you can see how fresh everything is as it's going into your dish. They also have two TVs set up. I just watched the older guy play with the baby, they were so quiet I really wanted to take a picture to show my friends that have kids how it's done! In any case it didn't take long for my order to be done, especially considering they cooked it right then. It took me about half an hour to get home and start eating my dish, but it was still piping hot - too hot to eat even. It was in a plastic bowl with a plastic lid, and they supplied a plastic bag that's very clearly labeled as being reusable. Considering most places in Queensland make you pay for a bag, this was a nice touch. Overall the food tasted good, but for Mongolian Beef I was expecting a bit more of a kick of spices or something. The noodles were good, but I wish I would have just eaten this at the restaurant, because I think that having it in the bowl and waiting for so long before I could eat it may have impacted how well done they were. Very good portion size. Bottom line: definitely worth a return visit as it's fast, inexpensive, and decent.

The food tasted really good but my partner thought the fish was a bit oily but when I was eating it tasted ok to me. It wasn't until the car ride home that my tummy started to disagree with all the oil I had eaten. Besides this factor it is differently worth the drive out. To have a nice meal with an amazing view. EKKA show holiday rolled around and a spontaneous trip up to Woody Point was decided upon. Fish and chips were on the menu and there were 2 in close proximity. We thought we were picking the one with a shorter line but it was deceiving. (Ok, ok, Dickens get to the food). We had calamari, some crumbed fish and chips, pretty standard but totally delicious. Paired with an old favourite, Passiona, and sitting by the water it was a pretty excellent way to get out of Brisbane for a few hours. I'd say definitely make a trip up here sometime, but maybe I want to keep it to myself? Fresh fish also available, and dine in as well.
