So I decided to drop the boat off this morning at about 10 30 am, he said he would call and touch base later in the day. To my amazement the phone rang at about 2 pm it was Mike saying your good to go, Your service was completed and all the little jobs I wanted doing were done. Oh yes he said one thing I didn't do was the compressor filter because it was spotless , not only that he took a picture for me to see , so I asked why he didn't change it anyway , he replied because they are really expensive andyours was spotless. Still waiting for Dave to return the $500 he overcharged on a Generac home generator. It's been two…read moreyears. Dave is the principal owner of the business and recently got into the home generator business as a distributor and installer of Generac products. I signed off on an estimate / contract with him to install Generac's largest residential generator. Other than delivering the home generator unit and sub-contracting the gas and electrical hook-ups, I basically had to step in as the general contractor and work with the gas / electrical guys because he would not return phone calls to them or to me. In fact, I had to contact Generac directly to set the generator up and get the 10 year warranty he was supposed to secure for me as part of his estimate and contract. Even his own staff told me privately that he is over his head and not very good with customer support. I do not recommend Ocean West.

A place where I can get a great exchange rate north of the border, have great value on parts and certified help when needed. Last time it was across from downtown Vancouver at the Creek's Boatyard. I needed some prop work, a weld done, tuning and major rigging work done. With no fuss or hassles they bounced right on it. They gave me a quote for the work and (no surprises) met their price and they did the work rather quickly. I keep my boat in La Conner, but when I have serious work to do, I will go up to Vancouver's Creek Marina & Boatyard. It's well worth the trip. Good people are found there.
