The owner of BMS was on the boat and as we drifted into the dock he said he had my phone number and would call me. He never called, although the service manager called three days later to see if I needed anything. When I hadn't heard from them by the following morning I called Don at North County Marine. Although he was overloaded with work he said he would get to me as soon as possible. He showed up an hour later, diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. He returned a few hours after the parts were delivered and finished the job. Then, although he was just working me in between other scheduled jobs he completed the maintenance that BMS had failed to do and then accompanied me on a sea trial to make sure everything was functioning properly. When he presented the invoice I was pleasantly surprised by the fair price. I am an old man with years of mechanical experience and can assure anyone that Don knows his business and will treat you fairly. My wife and I can't thank him enough as he has saved our summer.
