Swimming with dolphins is an experience that has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I knew that I wouldn't be able to scratch it off during my visit to SeaWorld, but I was hoping the $69 per person dolphin encounter would at least scratch the itch a bit. It did, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. The more expensive experience (the interaction) was fully booked, but it didn't look like they got much more out of it than I did. You get about 20 minutes worth of time, which goes by in a flash, and you are able to touch the dolphins mayyybe twice, briefly, if you are lucky. Even so, it was still a joy to be able to play and interact with them, coaching them with hand signals, caressing their happy faces, feeding them fish and ice cubes, and wishing for a whole lot more. I'd probably be a little less salty about it if we'd had another 10-15 minutes, because as is, it barely feels worth it, especially when paying over $200 for three people. Still, playing with these gentle (yet mischievous!) creatures is a memory that I won't soon forget, and that's worth more than the price of admission.

Good, quality show, maybe a bit short. You do get to see the dolphins interact and perform. Seating can be a challenge with the crowds.

I've been keeping aquariums for 40 plus years. This is my go to place for livestock and equipment…read more Knowledgeable staff and super helpful. Their fish selection is awesome but their reptile and invertebrates is very thorough. I am in the midst of creating a 200 gallon tank and will be getting most of the supplies here. Even my custom aquarium order. I can spend hours here just looking around.

My husband and i came to look around and see what we could find for my bearded dragons enclosure…read more Maybe cork or branches or rocks... as i walked around to see other reptiles i came across this... If you look closely it's a decomposed baby crusted gecko, looks like it's been there maybe months. His eyes were sinked in. Basically just skin I couldn't believe my eyes i thought it was just his shed that had came off.. however after really looking at it, i knew its been dead for a little bit. Not only that but there are spiders INSIDE the enclosure. Black widows from what it looks like, they have a lot of spider eggs just chillen in there with these live baby crusted geckos . I'm not sure if they check these animals often . After seeing that, i told the people that worked there and they not only did he confirm it was dead he actually discovered a SECOND one dead in there.. im not sure how often they check these animals, from the looks of it, not often at all. but a lot of these reptiles looks sad and sick. But this is something that amazed me. I just couldn't believe it. DO BETTER PET KINGDOM PLEASE Also on a side note, their prices are ridiculous. 34$ for a fake plant for an enclosure. The cork is expensive. Branches are small and expensive I guarantee you anyone who buys a reptile from here , their reptile is already sick and or will die due to parasites and bad health. I do not recommend any of your buying a reptile from here. I used to like this place years ago but now it just looks like they neglect their animals.

Frustrated that we couldn't find anyone and upset that those who cleaned our tank were not very competent we lost all hope. In comes Ward...While at a Dental office I was mesmerized by how amazing their fish tank was and inquired on who kept it up and they told me Ward did. Living in the Chula Vista / Eastlake area I wasn't sure if Ward would come down but after contacting him he came by for a consultation. He looked at the tank and recommended a few things but the number one reason our tank was in horrible shape was because it was too hot. Yes, the other fish tech we used left the heat on and it was too high! How could he overlook that!? Very frustrating. After handing Ward the "keys" to the tank our tank has thrived so much. It's healthy, the fish are loving it and everything looks great. We trust Ward enough to come into the home when we're not there to work and he does an excellent job. He respects are home, cleans up after himself and leaves everything looking the way he found it. My last fish guy was in and out within minutes and Ward takes his time and knowing how busy he is it tells me he's not about how many accounts he has but how special each tank is to him. If I have any issues with the tank he's on it. I'm lucky we found Ward and I know our fish are lucky to have him taking care of them and their home. If you're on the fence with a fish guy, I can tell you that we were about to give up and Ward has now made it fun for us again. Thanks Ward!

Great service! He communicates well on scheduling & is always on time & does a great job!read more

My toddler loved the movement piece, but there was also a ton of information to look at and read, about these ships who sailed in them, if they were used in movie production, etc. This is definitely a museum, but it is also a mild workout!! All areas of this museum would not be considered accessible for everyone. They make a statement about this when you pay for tickets but it's worth noting here. They have a small gift shop but no food or drink is allowed on the ships so no refreshments. Parking is wild! You pay for 2 or 3 hours depending on what area you park, and you cannot extend it. So you then have to move your car. But there did seem to be plenty of it pretty close or across the streets

One ship was away on a sail in the afternoon this past Saturday, but there was more than enough to explore on the various vessels during our visit. Plenty to see and experience on each of the boats. We stepped onto the swift boat where staff educated us about its machine gun. And we walked through and checked out the different sections of the USS Dolphin submarine too. The HMS Surprise was a lovely ship with plenty of references to its use in films. The Star of India was like a museum all on its own, so many areas to explore and a ton of history to learn. The Californian was pretty basic, not very different from many other ships we've visited in the past. Steam Ferry Berkeley was the largest, with displays showcasing scientific instruments, model boats, artwork, the riverboats in Vietnam, the engine room, a torpedo caught by a fisherman, and a special exhibit featuring the "histories of the black pacific". There's a gift shop on site as well. Altogether, the variety of ships at the Maritime Museum made for an interesting adventure, a bit touristy, but worth the cost if you're into history or simply like boats.

We came the first week of November on their soft opening. Located inside the double doors, you'll find Hakkai occupying a tiny space no more than 200 sqft that mimics an art gallery, except it ranges from small to large aquariums or shall I say "tanks" with living creatures inside as in tree branches, wood, stones. You can buy what you see or create your own. Other shelf items are fertilizers, rocks, and plants. What is aquascape? It's a form of art, an "under water gardening" activity. Before this, I never knew this type of hobby existed. Just like gardening, aquascape has many styles: Iwagumi style Manzanita wood Dutch tank Aquascaping Planted tanks Rimless tank Low iron tanks The service here is wonderful. The staff will help you on your tank needs whether you're a newbie or a veteran. They even sell already curated tanks. Aquascape is like the latest paint with wine or pottery activity because Hakkai offer group workshops where you can learn how to design your own tank! Hands on classes are offered at this location in the courtyard. The workshops are offered by skill level, types of styles and some are free while others require a fee. This activity would be great as a gift or for yourself especially when it's outdoors and you can maintain social distance during CoVId.
