She makes the best cheese plates in the afternoons for happy hour and the BEST omelettes for breakfast. By the way, breakfast and happy hour is included with your stay. Everything is made to order and the spreads are always incredible. One of the best perks about the Inn! It's romantic and relaxing all rolled into one vacation. The customer service from each lady at the Inn is outstanding. They truly care about your vacation and constantly check in to make sure you're more than happy with your stay. Heather even made hot tea for my husband one day and brought it out to him by the pool. So kind. Our air conditioner had an issue one night and we were promptly given a key to another room where we could sleep for the night. Heather had maintenance out the next morning and the issue was taken care of quickly. We have stayed in the Flamingo room and the Serenity room all times we've been here. These are the only two rooms located in the spa building and the heated mineral pool is right outside their doors. We love The White Orchid Inn and Spa and already look forward to the day when we return. The ladies really made our trip special this time around and we are grateful for that. I was unaware that I booked through Booking.Com and that posed some problems. First of all they charged me $400 in additional fees that are NOT Iincluded had I gone through the place DIRECT. Booking.com will tell you anything to not return your money but MaryLynn explained how third parties such as them operate. It took well over an hour to cancel with booking.com and then they had to call MaryLynn while I'm there with her. They will complete the cancellation and return my deposit in full. (It will take 5 to 10 business days they said) DO NOT go through third party such as booking.com or Expedia. Call MaryLynn and/or whoever else is managing on her days off. It was obvious we cared greatly for animals but knew little about raising a piglet, everyone we got the chance to meet was so helpful and generous, not only with information but also with food, pest prevention, and travel supplies. We have highly recommended this ranch to anyone that has expressed their interest in getting a piglet of their own to add to the family. They were also telling us about many other workshops and activities they offer on top of breeding pigs and selling plants, goats milk, eggs... the list goes on I'm sure! Eventually, someone came to ask if we wanted anything to drink and we both ordered coffee (which was very good); however, there was no silverware on the table so AFTER OUR COFFEE ARRIVED we asked for silverware and cream. We waited quite a while for the server to take our order. My wife ordered the Hero Breakfast sandwich ($14.50) and I ordered 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, and a well-done English muffin ($8.00) which was not well done when it finally arrived. We waited for more than 45 minutes for our orders and although the meals were good, it took too long for the meals to arrive. We also noticed that 4 other patrons had not received their orders and when their orders arrived, they too had no silverware or salt and pepper and had to ask for it. The staff was pleasant. The restaurant is pretty but waiting 45 minutes after ordering, is just too long for breakfast and will turn patrons away. They need to be sure that when patrons arrive, they put silverware on the table along with Salt & pepper. And they need to speed up service because taking 45 minutes to serve breakfast is just too long. We arrived at 9;45 and left after 11am. So, if anyone has a lot of time, this restaurant could work for them but unless you want to wait a long time, this may not the place.
