A little river runs along side it with lots of ducks. A beautiful array of flowers and very well maintained trees and shrubs. Lots of seating makes it the perfect place to stop and sit in the sun or maybe grab lunch from one of the nearby shops or restaurants

Plus I enjoyed walking in the woods and hearing the birds I wish I could have spent more time and did more photography with the nature and birds also. This was our first day in Ireland and we had a long way to go to get to Cork where we were staying the night. But I'm glad we stopped by here and if you are interested in sculpture I hope you have the time to give it a look.

The Indian Sculpture Park, or Victoria's Way, is a 22 acre park that includes small lakes, forested areas, a "philosophy maze" of messages on wooden signposts, and of course, a large collection of fabulous granite and bronze sculptures. The sculptures range in size from 5ft to 15ft tall. The sculptures are a beautiful fusion of Indian spiritual beliefs, philosophical concepts, humour and playfulness, and amazing craftsmanship. I was genuinely blown away and moved by the whole experience of being in this wonderful place. Victor Langheld, the owner and curator, advises that the park is ideally visited at the age of 28 (or over!). Take from that what you will :) I don't want to say too much more about this park as I feel it is something to be experienced, not just to be read about. One of the most extraordinary places I have ever come across.

It gets busy on Sundays for the Farmers Market(11-4) which has a great and varied selection of food from all over. Can be a bit twee, but that goes with the territory at these things. It's not just restricted to food though, there are some cracking bookstalls and a few craft ones too. This is where I discovered Paulo Coelho, I'm in debt. Now, to business. Traditionally there are three days a year in which Dun Laoghaire stops hovering on the verge of crap and makes the great leap forward into being the greatest place in the world. The Festival of World Cultures, although it's just two days this year(29/30th Aug), is the best weekend in Dublin. Sun, sea, hippies, pints and banging samba drums all for free(except pints of course, but where there's a will...). It's pure awesome, and the Park is one of the festivals main hubs. Love it.

It boasts some cute little tearooms and one of the few Sunday farmers markets on the southside (though I'm open to correction on this one). There's a mellow buzz in the air during the market and even if you're not hungry, you're sure to snack on some of the fudge, falafel or fruit that the traders have to offer before leaving. Tends to be happy families in here on a sunny Sunday and there is often some impromptu entertainment in the offing too. It's picturesque and nautically themed with a boat overflowing with flowers at the entrance.

Its well organized with lockers for your bags/jackets and a café at the front servicing drinks, snacks, hot food. The course is supposed to be easy as its built for children but I even found it hard as an adult, no golfing skills. Children would love it for a birthday party or to kill some time at the weekend. The décor is Azteca rainforest with lots of sound effects(rain, thunder and monkeys hanging from trees gave me a giggle even as an adult).

They have two trails ye can use, Mayan and Aztec so different features and layout but each had enough easy putts as well as the more challenging. There is loads of audio noises to replicate being in the jungle so this adds a little fun to it and they animations, monkeys in the trees, there was also a swinging monkey so there was little surprises along the route. Play is kitted out well, there is lockers available to dump the jackets, handbags, etc. however they work with a €1 coin deposit system so come prepped with a €1 coin or the friendly staff can help break a note for you. There is also a cafe onsite, so you can hangout pre/post game... Usual options of teas/coffee/soft drinks and some snacks. There is also a gift store which I am sure the kids just love and is possibly one of them things parents resent (Mam, Dad... I want, I want....) Really enjoyed my evening here and would love to come back with another group of friends or treat my nieces and nephews here some day.

For a start, I'm not the target audience; it doesn't cover the ethos of the place as a whole nor indeed does it even scratch the surface of the imagination, hard work, dedication and creativity of the staff. They seem to be able to tap into those parts of a child's brain that brings out the creative and possibly undoes some of the damage caused by too much spongebob. Brilliant place, I love it.

The programmes are apparantly organised by children-and obviously for children. But trust me, you might doubt that once you've seen their work. Inside it is ordered chaos with perhaps too few staff around considering the amount of customers but I can easily have just come at a bad time. Tucked away behind Bulloch Castle, Bulloch Harbour isn't crowded with tourists, despite it's proximity to the Dalkey Dart station. My first real acquaintance with Bulloch Harbour came late last year when I was looking for a location to shoot a short film. The locating of a location (ha! see what i did there?) for this film was fraught with difficulties, due to the fact that part of the action took place (a) in a boat, and (b) at night. A nighttime shoot in a boat, what could be more easy to organise? Nevertheless, the good folks who fish in Bulloch Harbour not only gave us a boat and brought us round in it (at nighttime, in the freezing depths of November), but also gave us the use of their little shack, offered to make tea... couldn't meet nicer people. And one of our key shots would have been ruined had they not provided us with an additional extension cord, so thanks a million lads. In non-filmmaking related points of interest, boats can be rented at Bulloch during the summer, and the harbour has a couple of resident tame seals. If Tony sees you with a camera out, he might get one of them to lumber up the steps to take a piece of fish from his hands. An overlooked little gem, just south of the city.

For dessert, we had the sweet honeycomb and apple crumble, and the apple crumble was a bit too sweet, without enough apple flavor, but the sweet honeycomb was fantastic, light and delicious and presented very beautifully!
