Good little park in Ballsbridge. If you are looking to run laps it has a path around the sports pitches that is perfect for laps. It has a small little pond with ducks and swans. Great place for a picnic with lots of food takeout choices near by

I love Herbert Park. We used to live across the road from it, and didn't go as often as we should have. Now that we don't live there, I miss it! Nice walking paths, picnic tables, lots of lush green grash, pretty flowers, colorful trees, and the best part DUCKS! I love to feed ducks. They are so cute!! Great place for a picnic :)

    Spring is here!

I love this park! I have been living nearby but have started going recently for a walk or a run and its amazing. Very quiet and big enough for you not to bump into people if you dont want to. Love the small pond and swans/ ducks in it. Makes me feel calmer and peaceful. It's beautiful in the Spring time. Great for a picnic too! Go for it!

To paraphrase the fresh prince, in this playground was where I spent most of my days, Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool. I grew up near Herbet Park and was only when I back there a few weeks ago did I realise what a great place it is and how much I missed the place. Covering 32 acres its actually two parks, divided by Herbert park road and divides Donnybrook from Ballsbridge. As well a a couple of playgrounds, which are now much safer, I remember many a bone crunching fall in the original cemented one when I was a kid. Its equipped with a range of sports facilities. In the second park is where most of the sporty activities take place with tennis courts, football pitches, boules, & croquet (posh bastards) well we are in Dublin 4 after all. Theres also a great duck pond which is all that remains from the 'Canadian Waterchute' for which the park was originally built in 1907 for the Dublin International Trades Exhibition. Great on a Sunny day to chill out, sunbathe, play football, throw a Frisbee around or just go for a walk. The arches architectural feature in the middle of the first park is especially nice.

Gorgeous park to walk in just after it's been raining. This is a lovely park on a lovely side of town, and makes you feel years away from Dublin's city centre (even though in fact you're very very close.) The road that separates the two sides of this park is treelined and fantastic, so even walking along here is like being in the park. It's a great place to pass through on a jogging mission. Try joining in on a soccer game if you're passing by, ah it looks like so much fun!

The play ground is great and it's perfect place to wear out your kids. It has stuff for big kids and play set for toddlers, obstacle course and a big double sandbox and a zip line!. There are toilets on play ground they rarely have toilet paper or soap but at lest bathrooms are there. There is a skate park and areas to play ball. Also there is a dog park, sadly we have no pets but it looks nice a big from afar. And everything pretty well taken care of. I definitely recommend this park!

The playground is out of this world. There is also a skate park and lots of walking paths. It is a wonderful area. If you're driving, there is ample parking in the parking lot and by bus, I think you can take bus 37 or 39 (towards Ongar) from Dublin. I believe there is a stop right by the park. Also, this park has a sandpit, so bring your shovel and bucket! You can see the huge castle slide from the road and your kids will love the zip line! It's a very cool park.

The park is really nicely maintained, the flower beds neatly tended the gardens/ greens cut and trimmed. I guess my big mistake was taking my son with me when my sole purpose was to have a look around and write a review, we passed the playground with its myriad of swings, slides, monkey bars, spinning discs and stuff I never thought I see outside a torture dungeon, it looked truly terrifying. Gilles (oh he in the push chair) had an entirely different view of how the evening was about to proceed. an awesome battle of wills ensued.... ....later, after we had finished on the swings I took pics of the park, the opening times and the flower beds, all jolly nice. If I was to crib and you know I'm going to, I'd say the play area was not as clean as I'd like, a lot of chewing gum everywhere, but I guess its hard to keep these places as spick and span as picky fathers would like!
