We have stayed in various units at Summer Beach off and on for almost 30 years. This was the worst…read moreexperience we have ever had. We stayed in 801 and it was in a lot of disrepair. There was a hole in the all, loose tiles and evidence of mold and mildew all over. The water line to the ice maker leaked, leaving constant water all over our food in the refrigerator. On day 1 the electronic lock failed and wouldn't lock. Maintenance replaced it with a brand new lock out of the box. Day 2 the new lock failed and wouldn't unlock, locking us out. Fortunately it was during office hours and we were able to get a key to override the electronics and get in. Maintenance had to again replace part of the lock. Other more permanent residents told us the electronic locks are a constant source of problems. The oven and cooktop were very dirty, The unit has had no updates since what looks like 1980. Light bulbs were burned out all over and no replacements available. Light fixture in the bathroom was burnt and cracked so even if you wanted to replace the bulbs you probably couldn't. The unit does have 3 balconies with the oceanfront being a wrap around. Would have been nice if there had been more than 2 dilapidated wicker chairs available to sit on. No other balcony furniture was available. The A/C doesn't keep the common area cool but does make the master bedroom feel like a meat locker. I do not recommend anyone renting unit 801. I don't know if we will ever go back to Summer Beach again.

We recently stayed in 801 and while the views are AWESOME! There are three separate balcony's, all with an amazing view of the beach, downtown Ocean City and/or the Bay Side! This room has drawbacks, 801 has a lot of doors/windows so it gets and stays warm in the room all the time from the sun, despite the darkening curtains provided. The room is very 1980's and is run down from a lack of maintenance. The HVAC is so overwhelmed it never shuts off. 801 is one of the best views I've ever seen from a condo in OCMD, the building itself is in good shape and no elevators broke down and walkways were well maintained,so I would stay here again, but whoever owns 801 PLEASE update and maintain this unit better!

Rented a friends coworkers condo for a week and we are definitely sticking to this rental from now…read moreon. My friends and I have been going to OCMD for five years now and stayed at different place each time. No more searching because we have found our spot. The condo is a nice size with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Kitchen is decent and there is a big living room with fire place, dining room and nice balcony off the back. If you like the beach it's only a block away but there isn't a public bathroom nearby. There is a nearby hotel, The Clarion, that has an outdoor bar we just walked in and used that bathroom. If you're not feeling the beach the complex has a beautiful in-ground pool with a separate gated baby pool. From 2-4pm for twenty minutes at a time they have adult swim time where all the kids have to get out and only adults can be in. I think that's a wonderful idea being that I'm a childless single adult. Haha It is far from the boardwalk but there are so many options for transportation. If you don't want to drive just hop on the bus for $3 a day, take a taxi or find an uber car. Great place and definitely recommend staying here.

The condo above us was being rentovated. The banging and sawing lasted from 9:30 am until after 4:40 pm. It made it impossible to stay in the condo for more then short periods of time. Upon entering the unit which took almost 30 minutes to figure out the door after using the key don't turn the knob just push the door open. The unit was nice I love the beach decor and how it was decorated. The furniture seemed new which was nice as well. We also had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which was nice. The master bedroom was huge, the other bedroom alittle small but cool also. The master bedroom had a bathroom with a tub. The other bedroom had a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Sounds a little backwards but not a big deal. There was also a Sunroom facing the beach where you could dine looking over at the waves rushing the beach, so serene and mesmerizing to watch. There also was a kitchen with a microwave, fridge, stove,coffee pot , toaster fully furnished with utensils and pots/pans. The kitchen was a little dated. The hardware on the cabinets need replacing they're beginning to rust, along with racks in the freezer as well. The unit also had a washing machine and dryer. Had a hard time getting the TVs going and connected to direct tv. The TVs are very cheap and the picture on the screen is moved or doesn't fit the tv it's alittle weird cause when your viewing the guide the left side of the picture is cut off. There were a few little issues management needs to address like one of the blinds is missing in my bedroom, one of the ceramic tiles is broken in the kitchen, the wood is chipped on the frame of the bottom of the bed. I did spray and disinfect the unit upon staying here. I did not see any bedbugs but something did bite my arm, maybe dust mites I'm not sure. But again the place appeared pretty clean and well maintained just a few small things need addressing. Oh one more thing it was kind of windy on some nights and all I could hear at night was whirling from the beach and maybe the height of the unit being on the 13th flr. There is 20 floors in the bldg. Parking was easy since it wasn't peak season yet, not warm enough to use the pool. We came in April .. overall it was a good time.

The view, how easy it was to access the pool and beach areas. The elevators were clean and in working order. There was one morning where the fire alarms were being tested, we were warned in advance and the day of we were up and down to the beach so it didn't phase us. It's good to know they check the important things. I'd say here again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

I visited your establishment at The Plaza, yesterday, on my first day in Ocean City. My father-in-law works for the Company long and foster which maintenances some of your units. We were returning our chairs to my vehicle, so that we could then head to gour tiki bar for drinks. As we came out to the parking garage, this horrendously rude man was putting a sticker on my car that had a staff parking on it, to then say "your car is being towed, this is a fake pass!!" Pointing to us saying we werent staff. Mind you, my father in law retrieved the pass from the people at the desk, in the establishment. The same people he works with daily. This horrible man, Alex Atkins, then continued to belittle us and be rude and use profanity at myself and my wife.. mind you we just arrived from Florida and were minding our own business just brining our items to the vehicle. As a manager myself.. I'm not sure what kind of time Alex has on his hands, but this is the last thing I feel he should be focusing his time on, and the way he talked to us was disgusting. The following day, my father in law was trespassed from the property.. essentially losing his ability to be employed thru his company at this establishment. I have never seen such a grotesque misuse of authority and blatant discrimination/disrespect to a potential patron of your establishment/service contractor.. This will not be the last complaint I will file, until it is fully rectified. Please, with the deepest urgency and respect: look into, and correct this. This man has been harassing my father in law since receiving his position and now he has directly affected his livelihood and employment as his final act of maliciousness. I was extremely satisfied with the owners of the Madison beach motel who owners the apartments. I was contacted by the motel directly saying that booking through them I could save air bnb fees and they would cut the cleaning fee in half. This year: same apartment cost, same set up, half the size. Very unclean. Ants in the bedroom. More tv issues. Walls look like they had been kicked or rubbed with dirt. Flickering kitchen lights. One light burnt out In bathroom. Dead bugs in dining room light. Dirty underneath beds. Ants found on bedroom walls and bed. Inadequate amount of toilet paper. Two rolls for a two bedroom with four beds. Very disappointed. Management did offer to have someone come out and reclean but that shouldn't have been necessary in the first place.m Also vacancy sign said there was vacancy, asked to switch rooms and that was dismissed. We stayed for two nights - Wednesday and Thursday and got a great rate as a last minute customer. I checked in Wednesday night and was greeted by the tall euro gent at the front desk - Geo? maybe was his name. I watched him handle a family in front of me and he was very courteous and friendly, making sure to handle all of us in the timely manner with eye contact and a smile. The apartment we rented was nice - two bedrooms with 4 total beds, nice kitchen with laundry and a small bar area. What I like about this place is its proximity to the boardwalk. We didn't have to move our cars or drive anywhere during our stay whatsoever - we walked to boardwalk, walked to food places, walked to different bars etc. so convenient and having parking? Great! There were clean beds, clean floors, lots of space to spread out. Staff was friendly, and our stay went off without a hitch. AC was ice cold - which we made sure to take advantage of. The only drawback was the size of the TVs and the channels - I know you don't go on vacation to watch TV but a bigger tv and some channels for the late night wind down would be huge. Far from the crowds of the boardwalk but also far from many eateries especially if you're on foot. Notable places within walking distance include: - 7Eleven - Chipotle - Crab Bag (okay restaurant) - Dairy Queen - Dumser's (ice cream) - Dunkin (we need them on Maui!) - Food Lion (market) - Grotto Pizza - McDonald's - Ocean City Square (mall with shops & eateries) - Original Crabcake Factory (okay restaurant) - Original Green Turtle (okay restaurant & bar) - Rippon's Seafood (very good takeout food) - Starbucks - Tailchasers (very good restaurant) - Wawa with gas station FACILITIES: 4-story building with balconies, central air, assigned parking stalls (most are covered), combination code for building access, key access for the stairwell, small pool with lounge chairs and a supposed storage room on the second floor. Most balconies face the beach so it was a relaxing place to chill. Free & unlimited parking is available along Assawoman Drive and side streets. ROOM: We had a 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit on the top floor complete with a full kitchen, strong a/c and washer & dryer that definitely needed to be upgraded. The washer conked out on us which got replaced though with an equally old one. At least we had clean clothes! OVERALL: Adequate facilities and location. If we're ever in OC again, I'd stay a little more south near 60th St to be more central.

That was scary. The condo needed some repairs. The recliner in the living room shed when you sat on it. It was pleather and peeling. The biggest thing was the parking fee of $60. We paid $120. to park 2 cars!! Non refundable too. For what reason? It was a normal parking lot. Nothing special Do you really think that a condo that sleeps 8, people would visit in one car??? Get real. For this reason, I won't return.
