This type of customer service should be the standard!!! I've procrastinated on ditching my Costco one-piece and buying actual cute swimwear for soooo long because there are so many considerations: comfort, functionality, durability, and aesthetic quality!!! I have rarely found swimwear that checks all of these boxes, if any. When I first visited the store, I told one of the staff members, Stacy, what I was looking for. She started showing me options immediately after I told her my size and preferences. I came back the next day to try on clothes, where Stacy had set aside a stack of swimwear options that were aligned with what I said I was looking for. While I was trying on clothes, Stacy, and, I believe her name is Shelley, were the perfect staff members! I kept getting new options based on what I said I liked or didn't like. I also appreciated when the staff members gave me their own input when I asked for it. Felt like I was shopping with my sisters again haha I ended up buying a set that I wouldn't have even noticed if it hadn't been pulled out for me. Staff is sooo accommodating it felt like family! The hospitality here is astounding!!! (which feels quite rare nowadays). My sister and I wandered into this shop on a hunt for new bras, and were greatly welcomed by two kind women who made us feel right at home. Both were very personable, and made excellent suggestions for fit and style. Although not a traditional method of measuring, the fitting process felt uniquely comforting and graceful. The ladies were very upfront about pricing and more than willing to appeal to our budget. Our sizes and preferences were also saved in the system upon purchase for easy future shopping! This is a lingerie shop and not a shop to find bras that fit correctly. No one ever MEASURED me in the shop. They just handed me lacy bras until one "fit." To this day, I have not worn one bra for longer than a couple hours because they are so uncomfortable. This is NOT a store for a larger breasted woman who are looking for comfort. The name of the store "Sea Cup and Up" is just a pun. Do NOT go if you are over a C cup. Even the "t-shirt" bra that bought is far too lacy and it's not supposed to be push up, but because I'm so large, yes it looks push up and it's not covering half of my breasts, so it's NOT a t-shirt bra! I'm just wearing the same bras I bought at Neimans, where I was fitted correctly and my concerns were listened to (I NEED A COMFORTABLE BRA)...... It was also uncomfortable with three different women looking at my chest. I had to step out of the dressing room. No one came in, which is strange to me. I understand why some reviews are saying "skanks and strippers" because I didn't want to show off the bra to ANYONE. It felt like it was a show and I love putting on a show for MY HUSBAND not the sales associates at a bra shop. In upscale store, ONE associate will come into a dressing room with a DOOR (they don't have doors just sheets covering where a door should be). Every time I look at the bras I get irritated I was talked into those bras that don't even FIT CORRECTLY. If you want sexy lingerie and can go to Nordstroms for the same price and better service. Plus they also have comfortable, normal bras there. Take the drive, it's worth it. I would never shop here again just because I left with bras that don't fit and I was talked into them. These are not professional bra fitters, the service is brusk and the sizing they offer doesn't correlate to reality or comfort. I bought several bras for a special occasion thinking their advice would be solid, but the bras they sold me were all ill fitting and not at all appropriate for the dress despite my detailed description. Go to Dillards and take your chances there. Their return policy makes up for the lack of service. read more

Very pleasant experience. Being a big busty woman, they actually carry my size IN STORE! Which is a lifesaver because I don't trust ordering online. The staff will fit you and match you up to the best possible bra for your size, build, and comfort. The women who were working the last time I came in (Mother's Day weekend, a couple years ago) were very friendly. Also, gave instructions on caring/washing the bras. I was very excited to see bras in my size that were not just tan, white, and black! There was blue, purple, etc. They have a wide variety of bras, swimwear, lingerie, etc. A tad on the pricey side, but, well worth it! I shopped at this store this past Saturday and purchased 3 bras. I was impressed with Cheryl and Christine's ability to size me by just looking at me. They were very friendly and helpful in making sure the size was correct and fit perfectly. I absolutely loved two of the bras I purchased. They fit like a glove and I actually look thinner and never considered I would be a 34. Unfortunately, I tried on again one of the bras I purchased when I got home and did not like it at all. I returned to the store 3 days later and exchanged the bra for two slightly padded bras - one from the sale rack and a full priced one. Per their return policy, "return in 30 days for store credit". No problem - I returned in 3.. Here's where I was very disappointed. Christine was very cold and short with me when I first walked in. And remained that way for the majority of my return visit. None of the previous customer service was there..she laid the bra on the counter and while I talked to her went back to looking at her phone like she couldn't be bothered. She did state repeatedly that those bras I was trying on would be uncomfortable. They are extremely comfortable. Cheryl, the owner was in the back talking to another person and as soon as she came out Christines's disposition improved. I left feeling very uncomfortable and upset - a feeling a customer should never have. I may or may not shop at this store again. read more

Great help in sizing bras for me. They know wether you should go up or down in cup or band size in about two seconds. I never would have tried on the correct size for me. I'm super impressed with this shop. My sister has shopped here for years--she's very difficult to fit and they worked wonders for her. With a properly fitted bra, she now takes a size 8 dress instead of the size 12 she used to wear. I have a very different physique, but the salespeople were just as helpful. Walked in wearing a 34B and left with a 32D. I suddenly look like I have breasts as opposed to a lump around my torso. The bras are not cheap. Think of it as an investment that will last for years. I have been shopping here for years and I'm only 19. I started when I was young with an abnormally large chest, I was approx. 12/13 when I first came here I was properly sized as a 28DD. I'm petite and these bras kept me feeling confident and not shut down with my figure at such a young age. I don't really see this place for "strippers/skanks" and I have friends I have recommended to Sea Cup and Up who are fuller figured and fabulous and they love it as well. I know one is a 40 or 42F and her ladies look hella fab. *Update, the blonde associate and younger one have lost stars with me because of her short temper and lack of sympathy. Cheryl is fantastic otherwise but these two poor choices of associates and small amount of bras available have lost stars with me. *Newer Update, just for my previous update on this review I was hassled by Cheryl. NO APOLOGY for the stress they put me through and the sass I got from her associates. As a business I would expect better but it's gone down hill since my first visit. Waited over a month for my bra, even when Cheryl was telling me she would be "happy to order it", I had to call after 3 weeks to find out that it would be longer. NO ONE EVEN HAD THE COURTESY TO LET ME KNOW. My mom was hassled on the phone because they wanted to give us store credit instead of my money back and that was never mentioned to us. I had a great experience here! I had tried to find swimwear at several places before someone recommended I try this boutique. Rather than be disappointed again I decided to call ahead. The owner answered the phone and looked for my size, on the phone. I went in and had a friendly & helpful reception. I ended up with 3 beautiful suits and a great bra! I had the pleasure of being helped by two people when I just took a chance and walked in last week. I've been wanting to go to Sea Cup and Up for quite some time, I finally made and am so glad I did. I made a comment referring to how lucky I was that I had not one, but two people helping me for quite a while, not having an appointment, I was really impressed with the time they spent and the education I received regarding quality undergarments. I was certainly not wearing the proper and most importantly comfortable bras/panties. The undergarments I've purchased from decent department stores pale quickly when compared to the offerings at Sea Cup and Up. Two of my items had to be ordered. These people are HORRID! I am a big woman and called first to see if they carry large sizes and was told they do, so I go in only to be treated like something they scraped off their shoe. They do NOT carry large sizes, they carry lingerie that is geared towards strippers and skanks...you know, silicone. Now that's fine, even a stripper needs a bra, but their attitude was atrocious! I have been a customer for several years and they have truly changed my life. I spent many, many, years wearing a bra that was not the right size -all of which I discovered after the two wonderful women running the shop helped get me into the right size. I walked in with a plain white, boring, 38 DD from VC. Of which I had in every color, no lace, no deep v cut styles, no push up cups, and thin straps. I was still paying well over $60 for the ugly boring VC ones that I thought I would spend the rest of my life in. Until I founds this amazing store. As soon as I walked in they were both very warm and welcoming. I told them I needed help, my current bra situation was making me miserable. I wanted something sexy and comfortable. Soon both ladies were helping to fit me, only to discover I should have been in a 36F. I have purchased well over 7 bras, bathing suits and panties from Sea Cup. The bras alone changed my life. I could not be happier with this store and the owners. They are always professional, polite, helpful, and patient with me when I go in. Its especially nice to have a place like this locally, that provides you with that small business feeling. They want to make their customers happy, and change their lives. You can tell. As I am new to Florida, I asked people where I could get a good bra for myself. I had been getting fitted wrong where I came from. I am DDD and I've been getting bras for years at Victoria's Secret. All the wrong sizes and way too much plunge. I was told to go to Sea Cup in Sarasota. I entered and was immediately greeted by a very nice woman. I told her my dilemma and she said they only carried underwires, which was fine by me. I looked around and their bras were gorgeous. She showed me a few bras. Some she said fitted nicely and some were not good. I wasn't overwhelmed until she told me prices. After I cleared my head, I realized that it was because the bras actually fit and looked pretty and appeared to be very well made. After quite a while with me, I was astonished she was still very helpful and nice. I bought 2 bras and I even bought an amazing tankini that actually made me look and feel good. Yes, they're a little pricey but I feel their bras and bathing suits are worth it. On another note, I bought some less expensive, although not cheap, bras at Dillard's but was told that they had no underwires to show me in my size. It's a perfect balance. I would recommend Sea Cup for the woman who hates but needs a bra with support. The store is beautiful and the saleswoman was very knowledgeable. I don't buy anything for myself that isn't perfect. I don't mind spending money but it had better be a good thing. If I hadn't gotten just what I wanted, I would have thanked the saleswoman and left. I would definitely come back. read more

Forget it!!!! This shop is run by the rudest ladies you will ever want to meet. They don''t measure you, they just guess and boy are they wrong. They put you in a bra that is no where near your correct bra size and swear that they are right, even put you on a guilt trip. The incorrect size leaves deep red gashes in your skin. Do yourself a big favor and go to a legitimate and reputable department store or nationally known lingerie shop. These women also refuse to accept returns or exchanges even the next day of purchase. Stay clear. People who work there are not accommodating and rude. Their bras do not hold up either. I brought one back after 2 months that I barely wore due to the plastic strap breaking, and they sent it back to get fixed which took weeks to get it back again. Luckily I had purchased several bras so I wasn't desperate for this one. However, it broke again, and now they said it was out of warranty so after being obviously unhappy they said they would credit me $50 . Problem is, I should have been given a different bra rather than sending one back that took forever to get back again. There are many wonderful places that have great bras. Last time I shop there . To respond to your response below, you mention that I have shopped there since 2011. Only a few times have I shopped there as I have been many other places for my lingerie. No silicone here, but I am a 34G which you can't find in many stores. I love being able to try on bras before I buy them and at Sea Cup and Up I can. The service is wonderful. The reason I only gave them 4 stars is because they only carry high end expensive bras. I wish they'd carry some more reasonably priced bras. Terrible customer service,,,,although the sales girl Christine was trying her best the owner was horrible... very rude...the sales girl told me when i asked what the exchange policy was that there was no refund... but an exchange for store credit if the bra was not comfortable and returned within a day or two....I explained I was having trouble purchasing a comfortable bra and i have a draw full of many I dont wear ...so I was a little cautious about buying another if I could not return it...she assured me that I could exchange no problem...I bought the bra for 140 dollars and 1/2 hour of wearing it it started to roll up and be very uncomfortable....I called the store immediately so it would be clear that I needed an exchange and was told by the owner that I was well aware that once I took the tag off there was nothing she could do... bras will always roll up on me because of my meat ....What a distastfull thing to say...so your bras dont fit unless you have a perfect body... so your hype about the perfect fitting bra is only for the perfect people....I reminded her of what the sales girl said and she said Oh No I was right there she never said that... so she got me for 140 dollars doesnt she know i am a mother of 4 grown daughters who would have shopped at her store and I too own my own business in the Sarasota area. ...I deal with 300 mothers a day...foolish lady a little kindness and customer service goes a long way... After reading the other reviews I was a bit skeptical to go to this shop but I was in desperate need of a properly fitting bra. I require a small band size with a large cup; practically impossible at any department store so I figured I could at least get an idea of which brands/styles/sizes worked for me at this shop. I was thrilled with my experience. They were very knowledgeable about proper fit and had an excellent selection. I was extremely pleased with how attentive the ladies were to me; I didn't have to do a thing, I didn't even have to think beyond "am I comfortable in this?" They would look at how one fit me, figure out what was wrong about the fit, ask me what I thought, then bring me another option until we found exactly what worked on my body in multiple colors/styles/brands. I must have tried on close to two dozen different bras in a two hour time span and the ladies were extremely personable, patient, and made me feel very comfortable.
