There's not much that's cheap here, but then good stuff rarely is. There is an excellent fish counter, great produce including extensive organic selections, a good deli counter and an in-store bakery. We shop here regularly, looking out especially for the red-stickered items to get the best deals. For local colour, watch out for the ever-cheerful Pat on their staff, who you'll spot chuckling and singing as she helps customers each day

The menu was an interesting take on gastro pub standards, and the service was very friendly and reasonably quick, given that it was a sunny Sunday afternoon and the place was very busy. We sat by the water, children had fun feeding the ducks, and it was relaxing and lovely. We had home made burgers with lovely fresh home made onion rings and chips, and delicious deserts. You can have a very tasty home made desert for £4.99, or for £4.50 a smaller portion with a coffee. I had that, and my desert didn't look any smaller than my wife's, so I recommend that. Great place. I'd go again on a fine day.

Those that were still serving I am not overly enthused by them (I'm looking at you Cosy Cafe aka Poppins). The setting is cosy at the restaurant. The restaurant is rather small, but it still feels a little intimate when sitting in there with a dining companion. The menu isn't huge, which is good from my perspective - means they can take the time to make sure food they do produce is done well. The breakfast was a standard Full English. But the eggs were of a better quality than found in other cafes/restaurants in Eastleigh. Mushrooms cooked well, so was the bacon. Sausages were not the greatest - but then I have never been a fan of English sausages. A nice italian one would have been lovely, but c'est la vie. I would recommend the place for anyone looking for good quality cooking, very warm hospitality, and a cosy atmosphere. Could have been 5 stars, but that was down to the fact that getting the toilet on some rather steep & rickety stairs terrified me.

It is set very close to the seafront so once you've finished stuffing your face you can burn off some calories strolling along the seafront. The cafe itself isn't the largest but we always manage to find a seat, you can even sit outside on a nice day. It's full of quirky little craft type items that are all available for sale. Can get very busy at peak times on a weekend so be carfeul, we've seen the food waiting time go as high as an hour.

The sandwiches are very cheap except they are expensive. And the cakes, are really a bit ropey. Well, I guess these guys have a monopoly and are using the cheapest ingredients they can make and charging a bomb. I don't really respect this kind of attitude frankly, there is no love in it it's just about the money. The banana / nutella milkshakes are good I guess they can't cheat on those ingredients easily.

Went here with 2 friends today. No menu just a poor selction of cakes. Opted for some freshly baked scones (only one each) which turned out to be heavy and so flat we couldn't cut them open. No jam was offered just a roll of butter and the staff seemed totally disinterested. Also ordered 3 cups of tea. Couldn't believe I was charged £21.50 for such a small and poor quality offering. They wont accept cards - just cash. I thought there must be a mistake with the price! We frequent high quality tea shops and live in Oxford now but I have never paid so much for so very little. Don't waste your money or your time. There are better tearooms closeby. Very disappointed....
