So, I needed to round out my Apple HomeKit with the finishing touch - a smart thermostat. I'm…read morefairly handy, but electrical stuff=not my thing. Chris responded quickly and seemed cool. He came over and installed my Ecobee quickly and nicely. Didn't make me feel stupid, but explained what he was doing in a way a friend would. It is exactly how I wanted it to be. I Love controlling the temp remotely and having the piece of mind of the alerts and all that comes with it. I would hire Chris again in a heartbeat, and would definitely recommend him to family and friends!

A manager at an Apple store put me in touch with Chris and he was an absolute lifesaver. He was extremely responsive to texts and drove out to our house the next day to pick up both computers. He was able to successfully transfer all the files from the old computer to the new one and did it in a very timely manner and charged a very reasonable fee. I will absolutely be saving Chris' number for future needs and am happy to give my full endorsement and recommendation to Chris!

When I became a mom at 19, I didn't know if I wanted to keep studying. I came across SDSU Global…read moreCampus on a Facebook ad, looked into it, and registered. I can work online while my 3-year-old sleeps right next to me. I also work at a school district. All thanks to SDSU Global Campus. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE BUSY WORKING PARENTS!!!

Great place that offers professional development certificate programs at a good price! You have the…read moreoption to take any type of program you want ranging from accounting, contract/project management, human resource management, or even craft beer. There are also several healthcare programs like EKG Tech and Pharmacy Tech. Keep in mind that these courses only prep you for required exams or are refreshers of you are already in the industry. When you finish all the required courses in a program, you are awarded with a certificate of completion. In my opinion it's worth getting a certificate from a known school like SDSU. I just finished my accounting certificate; I'm so glad that I was able to take their accounting program online as I work full-time during the day. Now I have something to put on my resume and move up the pay ladder. :) Most of the programs are non-credit and are non-transferable to 4 year degrees. They have an Open University Program where you crash credit courses in the first day. Those courses are much more expensive but still cheaper than going to school as a full time or half time student. Never tried the program, though, but it's a good option for anyone who wants to knock some units off and or transfer to a 4 year/2 year university. I will say that all the courses aren't cheap and you have to pay out of pocket for the most part. They're still cheaper than some other places that's for sure. Overall I recommend checking them out.

I started my Japanese language study at San Diego Japanese school years ago. Studied with both…read moreHasegawa-sensei and Fukuda-sensei. They taught wonderful beginning adult language classes. I knew nothing and they were very patient. They spent a lot of time making sure that I knew how to speak politely. I was able to travel to Japan and speak successfully, as well as transition to other Japanese language schools when I moved away from San Diego.

San Diego Japanese school is a small, little gem I really wish more people knew about. That being…read moresaid, as somebody who was a student here from middle school up until early high school, my opinion is definitely more from the high-school student perspective. Hasegawa-sensei and Fukuda-sensei are both sweet, personable and attentive teachers who get to know their students personally and oversee their studies with care, interest and patience. There are various age and skill groups that students are split off into, all of which are taught by various competent teachers and some of which I've kept in contact with over the years (here's looking to you, Chris-sensei!). In the middle of the session there is a small break in which the teachers make and sell homemade onigiri (still warm!), followed by group raijo taiso. You really get a sense of family here- it's honestly hard NOT to fit in and make friends easily here. In addition to language classes, they have some culture classes and occasionally have interesting and informative guests you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. If I remember correctly, we once had some people from the Toyko Philharmonic come and play for us, and every year students get a tour of the Japanese Self Defense Force boat in the harbor. Cool! That being said, you really have to have some self discipline to really get the most out of this school. Meeting only once a week means there is a lot of things to go over in one day, and it is imperative that you upkeep your studies, go through your textbooks and do your lessons in the days between classes! Like with most schools, it can sometimes be easy to be distracted by the social aspect of going every week, so one definitely needs to remember that it is a school, not a place to hang out. I loved it here. Honestly, if anyone was looking to seriously learn Japanese, I would without hesitation refer them to the San Diego Japanese School. Anyone who comes here is in some seriously capable and caring hands.
