When I spoke to someone at the school a month ago. She told me to come back Dec 4th. To sign up for the spring semester. I asked her what time do they close because I get off work at 5. She said they close at 7. When I got there last night about 5:45pm. They were closed. So I called this morning and spoke to someone and told her what happened. She informed me that they close early on Mondays at 5. And close Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7pm she said I can come by that they'll still be open when I get off work. When I got there tonight, there was a note on the door saying they will be closing at 4:30pm. I got there at 5:45pm. If you guys had an emergency to attend, have another person stay at least for the people that can't make it in the day time. But because of this I will not be back at all. I do not want to attend a school where you guys close early than what's expected. If I can't count on you to be open when you say you are, how in the hell do you expect me to depend on the instructors to teach me. What if I did attend, and I have an issue with an instructor or student at any given moment that you are supposed to be open. I can't talk to anyone then because you guys are closed.

Great place that offers professional development certificate programs at a good price! You have the…read moreoption to take any type of program you want ranging from accounting, contract/project management, human resource management, or even craft beer. There are also several healthcare programs like EKG Tech and Pharmacy Tech. Keep in mind that these courses only prep you for required exams or are refreshers of you are already in the industry. When you finish all the required courses in a program, you are awarded with a certificate of completion. In my opinion it's worth getting a certificate from a known school like SDSU. I just finished my accounting certificate; I'm so glad that I was able to take their accounting program online as I work full-time during the day. Now I have something to put on my resume and move up the pay ladder. :) Most of the programs are non-credit and are non-transferable to 4 year degrees. They have an Open University Program where you crash credit courses in the first day. Those courses are much more expensive but still cheaper than going to school as a full time or half time student. Never tried the program, though, but it's a good option for anyone who wants to knock some units off and or transfer to a 4 year/2 year university. I will say that all the courses aren't cheap and you have to pay out of pocket for the most part. They're still cheaper than some other places that's for sure. Overall I recommend checking them out.

The kids were loud and cause disruption while still waiting outside. They let people in while chewing gum and making so much chewing noise. I complained about this and my concern was met with a cold shoulder. The lady at the desk did not even take it serious and just smiled in a creepy way every time I brought it up. They take forever to get people to be checked in and out. If you are taking a test and is on a scheduled break, this center is a disaster and they will waste your exam time chatting and laughing with the kids while checking them in. I waited more than 40 mins to check in when it takes simply no more than 10 mins at every prometric I've been to. They had 3 employees and none gave a damn about the 10+ people waiting in line. Do not trust them to take your exams here. The manager clearly just wants money and crams a large number of people including kids inside. On top of it, their headphones are very cheap in quality and doesn't even go over the ear. There is no noise cancellation in them. While I was listening to audio during the test I could hear all the noise outside which caused me a major distraction. Everyone here is so lazy and walks slower than a sloth and doesn't appreciate or understand the seriousness of exams. Do not take your exams here. Someone needs to close this branch or make changes to the useless apathetic staff working here.

I want to cry it's extremely frustrating When you rely on these funds for you and your family. Staff is clueless, so no real help there If you have questions. You will get 6 different answers, there is no standard rule, or set of rules. No one knows anything. Even if you're directed to the HEAD of the department you need. Rules can sometimes change without notification. Oh you're a veteran? Stay on their ass HEAVY, call every single day about enrollment for new terms so you can get paid. Some of them will sit on your enrollment for days and you actually have to remind them to send it up. I've gotten 3 times: "Oh, I forgot, let me do that now." WTF!? i even have a girl change my exam status to hybrid the entire time when I told her I'd be online after a certain month At the start of a new term. this is not great, because I would have to pay funds back for a status i wasn't actively using I caught it last minute before the start of the next term. Would have had to pay back $5k for that. Hybrid exam -_- get someone to thoroughly explain what needs to be done. This school needs tons of work.

I usually prefer self study over instructer led courses, but they offer a hybrid course here. There is a lecture along with self study and exams on netacad.com (actually, this is also available independent of the instructor led course via a virtual campus). In my case, I need the isolated structure of the classroom to help keep me focused on learning this material. They also offer a certificate if you complete all of the courses in a particular group (if you need or want that).

So please tell everyone you know that these classes are a great way to improve your computer skills. This nice thing about this school is they really want all students to do well. And the student has many options. If you don't like an instructor, just leave. If you ask questions, the instructors will try to help you. If you don't ask any questions, no one will respond to you. If you don't like the instructor, I would take the class anyway and see what you learn. Or if there is the same class with a different instructors, then take another class. As a student, you either make it a good place to take classes or a bad place to take classes. Also, remember, you can speak up and talk to the person next to you. They might know something you don't know or they might not know anything! And there are many free courses you can take online at other institutions around the world. Look it up on Google, type: free education. Or type in Google: free computer classes online for MS Word. Have you tried Khan Academy? It's a free place to take many different courses and there are no tests. Not only does North City Campus have computer courses which can be taken a la carte, but they also have several 9 month courses called their Certificate Program which require applying for in advance, and requires good attendance. These long courses are very well worth it because you are taking college level courses without paying a penny. There are many options, it's worth anyone's time to go there, ask questions and start learning to better yourself. North City Campus is something all cities in the USA should have. ---- About the parking at North City Campus and more. ---- For many years, probably over 20 years or more, the parking was free. It's a shame they are charging for parking, charging for parking makes no sense. If you are a student there, it's time to get some activism going and create a petition to stop the unfair charging for parking permits. The land is already paid for, they don't need to charge for parking. Note: Look at Steve G.'s review, it is not true. I've been attending this school since 1996 and it's a good school. Most instructors are excellent instructors and I've learned tons of information about computers and computer programs at this school. If this is true and it might be, all you students currently attending this campus need to start petitions and get the paid parking changed to free parking. When I started going to this campus in 1996, parking was always FREE. When they first built the new building with the multi-story parking lot on Aero Drive, the parking was FREE also. If you don't like something about this school, then let's change it. This school is paid by our California tax dollars and it used to also be funded by money coming in from the community colleges in this area. Sweet ! -They also offer other Microsoft-based courses: Word, Access, Outlook, etc. Verdict: 5 Stars ! Don't expect to walk away a Microsoft guru after one class or even two. I find that it takes time a practice to really get the program down. Your really need to refresh your knowledge on a consistent basis at work or you may forget all the minute details and steps.
