She before the therapy did not have enough energy to get out of bed let alone out of the house, it was a huge challenge before to get her up and out of bed. She now has the energy to get up and out of bed every day, to go to hbot therapy, and to do other things like going to see her friends, going to the movies, the beach, out to eat, going for a stroll around the neighborhood, going to museums and the market to pick out groceries, as well as going to the farm to see the animals which she loves, she also has been able to go from being able to walk 20-30 feet or so to being able up walk 6-700 feet all at once with continuous improvement, as well as being able to move her right hand and arm which was previously paralyzed before therapy, the hyperbaric oxygen therapy in combination with the red light therapy truly has been a blessing, and had given her the hope and capability of making a full recovery, giving her the tools she needs to claw her way out of her wheel chair and back to independence. Also the staff and owner are genuinely, truly kind and warm hearted people, the therapy center is also very clean always smells good and has a very homey atmosphere, making treatment very comfortable. Also to add mom has aphasia which has improved since therapy her vocabulary has become more expressive, and capable being able to say more words and more complex words, talking in complete senteces something she was not able to do before and hold a conversation at times which she could never do before, her cognition and motor skills combined have had a radical shift in ability since she started therapy and has only been improving with each session.

"deep" enough - all the studies have been at 2.0) to speed up the body's healing process by increasing oxygen absorption up to 35%. This was what I needed after my reconstruction surgery. I was on cancer drugs, that slowed down my cell turnover, so my healing process would be slowed down. Also, the reconstruction was done with analogous tissue, which meant that my body would have to create more blood vessels in the new tissue, Solid Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers do these things. Not to mention, after radiation, my skin and tissue was thicker and wouldn't stretch. Again, Hyperbaric Chamber helped cell turnover to rejuvenate that skin. After ungracefully climbing into the chamber and lying down, Jon, Leslie and Theresa made sure I was comfortable and had a pillow, a bolster, some water and some chewing gum. Next they "locked me in" and Jon stayed nearby - watching me (off and on ) through the window. He was close by all of the time I was in the unit, but especially as the chamber was slowly pressurized (as if we were going down under the sea.) The increased air pressure became three times more than normal. This is what you want to press the Oxygen into your tissues. The team at SoCal Hyperbaric, oxygen, make you feel so safe, you can't help but relax and be comfortable. I needed to yawn, drink the water into the gum they that provided to unpop my ears. Once the air pressure stopped changing, I didn't have any more - all felt normal. Above my head, a light for the chamber was dimmed so I could rest or watch the movie I requested. Surprisingly, I didn't feel claustrophobic but it was mildly scary (the first time anyway) knowing I couldn't let myself out but had to trust that someone would come and release me. Luckily, it was easy to trust Jon, Lesley and Teresa. You could tell that the owner, Raffy Elkayam, took great care in hiring his employees. Jon used to be a paramedic. And Raffi got into the business because of his own health needs, so he gets it. Everyone there has integrity, so there's no funny business of trying to give you less of a percentage of oxygen or extra charges after you've started. One time, Teresa felt my sinuses might have issues because of allergies, and canceled/rescheduled my session at no charge. Everything is on the up and up here, and you can feel secure spending your money at this business. In the end of my first visit, Jon gradually decreased the pressure, and opened up the "Vault". I felt slightly light-headed when I came out but energized, too. Jon told me some people step out feeling like they'd had several cups of coffee, while others feel a more subtle, sustained level of energy. I certainly felt good, less tired than I had since before the surgery, and I slept very well that night. When I went to see my surgeon, his whole team was surprised by my quick healing. They said my stitches were mending twice as fast as they would've expected! That was music to my ears. Go here ONLY AS A LAST RESORT!…read more My experiences at the the Center For Advanced Wound Healing were horrible. I was charged $5,462.89 for 5 minutes of nurse time, 5 minutes of doctor time and less than $20 of materials. No specialized equipment was involved. I was treated on two separate dates for the same wound. It was a small crack on my big toe surrounded by a callous. The wound was approximately 3/16 inch long, less than 1/8 inch deep and less than 1/16 inch wide. It was just a small crack in my skin, but I was having difficulty getting it to heal. On both visits, the routine was the same. I removed my shoe and sock and sat in an examination chair. The nurse removed the 1-inch band-aid from my toe and applied a common over-the-counter disinfectant. Dr. Bui arrived and examined my toe. He then took a disposable scalpel and spent about one minute trimming my callous. Then he applied a small amount of wound dressing (about 1/4 x 1/8 inch) and covered it with a common 1-inch band-aid. The doctor and the nurse both spent about 5 minutes with me. The wound dressing is about $17 at Amazon for 4.3 square inches - enough to treat my toe more than one hundred times. I have no complaint about Dr. Bui's treatment. It didn't solve the problem, but I don't know what else he could have done. I do have a huge complaint about the cost. I was charged $5,462.89 per visit. A total of $10,925.96 for the 2 visits. They used less than $20 of materials at each visit. 5 minutes of nurse time and 5 minutes of doctor time at each visit. My podiatrist bills $201 for the exact same treatment. I spent many hours on the phone and writing letters trying to get these charges corrected. I was able to get a charge for $1,294 (described as "dressing wound, 19.1 square inches" - I have no idea where that came from) removed. If you call Los Robles to dispute a charge, plan on spending at least an hour on the phone only to get a promise that "someone will take a look at that". DO NOT go to the Center For Advanced Wound Healing unless you are near death and have no alternative.
