Who's that?

I wish I could give this 6 Stars! I absolutely love this concept. Amazing sculptures from talented artists all over the United States in one outdoor venue that everyone can enjoy for free. They change from year to year. And the bulk of the sculptures are concentrated on only three blocks on Philips Avenue downtown (both sides of the street). Wilbur the pig, a balled-up toad, a dragon, a moose head, St. Francis, Mr. Bojangles, dancers, and a jester, just to name a few. Kudos to all the artists who worked so tirelessly to create such masterpieces. There truly is something for everyone. And the great part of it is that there are numerous restaurants and bars with outside seating so you can admire many works of art from a distance while you eat or drink. Next time I'm in Sioux Falls in the spring or summer, I'm definitely heading down to the Sculpture Walk to see what new and exciting works of art are on display.

Gregg's Substation And Casino - #6 Ham, Salami & Provalone Cheese

Wow. This place is…read moreone of the biggest piece's of shit I've ever been inside of, and I mean that in the best way possible. The sandwiches are like mom used to make. Literally. Like these are home-made sandwiches made by somebody's mom. The "Casino" consists of 10 video lottery machines, and....that's it. Fuck yea Gregg's Substation & Casino! You would be a fool to pass thru Sioux Falls without stopping in at Gregg's!

Slightly confused on how this place has just over 30 reviews and every single review is 5 stars…read more This was not a 5 star sub I'm sorry. I got the #6 and added lettuce, tomato, pepperoncinis, pickles, and olives. The most honest way I can describe my sub was that it was the most mediocre sub I've eaten. The bread tasted stale and was fairly tough to bit into, the meat was meh and the toppings were a let down. When you watch your server literally counting out how many small olives or pepperoncinis they're allowed to put on your sandwich, you're at the wrong sub shop. The people working here were genuinely nice and friendly and you could tell they have a strong rapport with the regulars, but I was just so disappointed in my sub. If I had to choose, I would pick Jersey Mike's over this location every time. It's not even close. I can't recommend eating here. I definitely didn't experience what all those other people experienced who gave this place 5 stars, but I know I could make a better tasting and fresher sub at home. Pass on this one sadly.

My husband and I had passed by the Old Courthouse Museum many times since moving to Sioux Falls,…read morebut for Mother's Day we decided to do something a little different and finally stop in for a visit. We both love old historical museums, and this turned out to be one of the nicest surprises we've had since making South Dakota our home. The courthouse itself is beautifully restored. The architecture alone is worth the visit. Walking through the building really gives you an appreciation for the craftsmanship of another era. One thing that especially fascinated me were the old architectural drawings on display. It honestly amazed me to think that all of those detailed designs were created entirely by hand without computers or modern drafting programs. The amount of patience and talent required must have been incredible. The museum gives a wonderful glimpse into the early history of Sioux Falls and how different life once was here. Looking through the exhibits, furnishings, photographs, and displays made me reflect on how much simpler life must have seemed back then, even though I know it certainly had its own hardships. As newer residents of Sioux Falls, it also helped us feel more connected to the city we now call home. Sometimes when you move somewhere new, you know the streets and stores first, but not the story underneath them. This museum helped fill in some of those gaps for us. We also wound up spending far too much time in the gift shop and left with quite a few souvenirs. Mostly though, I just enjoyed spending the afternoon strolling through the museum with my honey, learning a little more about the history of the community we've become a part of. It made for a very peaceful and memorable Mother's Day.

This museum is really cool and interesting with lots of information about the building and the…read moretown, as well as lots other items from history.
