We used Scribbles for daycare from 12 weeks to age 4 for our two daughters. It had the most outdoor space of any local facility and is great about field trips. Now we do after-school care for our Kindergartener and she loves it. They do crafts, snacks, and playtime. Our kids have always been safe, well cared for, and have had tons of fun at Scribbles. I have absolutely loved our experience with Scribbles! My daughter started after she turned two and had been with a family member prior. Miss Erica and her team did an amazing job helping my kiddo acclimate to the new environment and routine. She went from only taking contact naps to being able to sleep independently in class, which had been my biggest concern. She then moved to the young pre-k class with Miss Consuela and here is where she really flourished. Miss Consuela and Miss Taniya worked with her a lot and by the time she moved to pre-school, she knew her alphabet, could spell her name, knew all her numbers, shapes and colors. Now that she's in Pre-School with Mr. Joe & Miss Jocelyn she has continued to grow and shine! She's learning more socialization skills and they continue to make sure she's challenged in multiple ways. Completely separate of how invested and dedicated all of her teachers have been to her learning, everyone on staff has been so completely caring, kind and supportive. Everyone from the administration to the teacher's aides obviously genuinely committed to the kids that attend Scribbles. And as a parent, it is such a weight off knowing that when I go to work each day, one thing I don't need to worry about is my daughter. I know she's cared for and loved while she's at Scribbles. Along with taking amazing care of my child, the staff at Scribbles has always been fantastic about working with me. Whether it be questions or concerns or looking for advice, no matter what I've approached them with, I am always given time and patience. Neither my daughter nor myself have ever been treated like just another child or parent. Before starting at Scribbles, we looked at multiple centers. One of the reasons I chose Scribbles was because their teacher to child ratio, especially in the younger classes, was 2-3 kids less than other centers we considered. In regard to cost, they are right in line with other places in town, and in my opinion, offer the highest level of learning and care. Very high prices and if your child misses any time you still get charged the same. They emailed that they were going to refund everyone who's child went to daycare for only 1 day before covid 19. This post comes two years into our experience with Scribbles to give a long-term view. Our two children have really thrived here and I attribute it to a few key elements. First, the staff culture. Turnover is VERY low, and I can only think of one that's left in that two years (for full-time school). I'm fairly certain that Administration's had zero changes since we came. Worth noting, last week we went to our Fire Dept's breakfast and one of my youngest's teachers was volunteering the food line, two others came on their own time together to see her. That's a good sign (and our kids LOVED seeing their teachers in public). Next is the facility, which really made the difference when we were making our choice. The outdoor area is huge and very spread out, while others in town seemed more narrow and congested, shoved behind the building. There's a large gym in the center of the building for play during bad weather, which I didn't see in other sites. All rooms and the gym have great natural light. In two years of dropoffs/pickups the kids in all the classes I pass by are enjoying each other, almost not enough fighting because I haven't been able to see how the staff handles it. Incidents and injuries are well-attended and documented though seldom. Last is cost. We chose Scribbles before looking at the fees across other facilities, and it was lower so that's a bonus. We have had all three of our children go through this facility for early childhood and after school care. They are very organized and structured to keep the children active. They have programs to help with homework, babysitting, and daycamps. We trust our children to the staff and they have not disappointed us in 10 years. read more

While this is a nice daycare.... the rates are unbelievably high! There is no way that anyone with a normal job and pay can afford this. The staff was nice enough and the center clean. But the price is not properly explained. This place is not worth the cash. They are very picky with how you children act also. This place is not for anyone who isn't a rich snob. I enrolled two of my children in Scribbles. My youngest LOVES it. Ms. Kelly and Judy (2 year old class) are awesome. They welcome you into the class like if you are family. My youngest had a difficult time adjusting (about 2 weeks), but now she runs up to her teachers and excited to see them everyday. My oldest (preschool class) didn't quite do so well. He wasn't feeling it like my youngest. Preschool class is not as "nurturing" as the other class, so he is attending elsewhere. But besides that I recommend it for infants and toddlers! They also don't accept Credit Cards... big inconvenience. read more

Scribbles strikes again! Although my child no longer attends this school for various reasons. Both my children play on the Benjamin Elementary School playground after school on good weather days ...and so do the Scribbles kids in after school daycare. Unfortunately, both of the childcare providers on site are to busy looking anywhere else except at the kids, and today one of the kids was literally trying to injure my daughter by squeezing her until she couldn't breath ...I thought they were playing until my daughter shrugged the bigger girl away. Apparently, my daughter had to pinch her to get the big girl off her. Where were the daycare providers while all this happened??? Not paying attention. Only after I told the girl to keep her hands to herself did they even rouse to pay attention. The school and quality of employees are very poor and lacking the most basic of skills: observation! read more

Worst experience ever! The staff was unfriendly. No greeting or eye contact when coming in to pick up my kids. My kids were not receiving any attention nor good care. The policy was inflexible for working parents. read more

I had three of my children at Scribbles and had experience with all of the classrooms. Not sure why all the good reviews are listed under not recommended. The teachers are fantastic. They are very caring, but also professional. The center is always doing stuff to improve, and they follow-up with parent feedback. They have a child development specialist who works with the teachers and children who need extra attention. They have added additional space onto the building and have beautiful classrooms. Tons of outdoor space with a large nature area. The teachers have degrees in education and receive a lot of training. Outside of all of that, my kids loved it here. They had so much fun every day and were always learning something new. In the summer camp, they had a lot of different and great trips. Some of them became my daughter's favorite places to go. The prices are comparable and even less than some other centers in the area. We had been at one other center prior to Scribbles, and one other part-day program. Scribbles is far better! read more
