In the area staying over for the night. Saw on yelp & thought we'd try it out. We are always…read morelooking for a great prime rib! Bloody Mary was 1st! Slice of bacon(real), pickle and olives, rimmed with celery salt & pepper. This was delicious. I ended up having 2! Ordered the onion rings with house made ranch sauce. Love the ranch. The rings were more like strings (which I love). Big ol heap! Loved these. Main course! I got the prime rib with parmesan fries and green beans. Parm fries were crispy and tasted great. The prime had great flavor but was a lil tough to cut. Nice thickness though. The au jus tasted more like pre-made but not quite sure. The green beans were quite rubbery & squeaky but not a huge deal as I had already eaten my weight in onion rings & fries. My other half had the prime rib philly. He said it was good and had great flavor. Wasn't a bad choice. The atmosphere was part bar & grill and other half was quiet sit down type. It was a confusing entry. I think we were suppose to be seated but there wasn't a sign and nobody really acknowledged us when we walked in the bar side. No biggie, we found our own booth. If we would be in the neighborhood again we of course would stop. They had a good crowd. I would suggest to try it out. Oh and I was too full to try the cheesecake but wish I could've.

A nice place. Service was some of the best I've ever had. Food was solid, but not the best. I will…read moresay that I think it is as good as I expected it to be, but I always hope it'll be better thus I am not leaving a 5-star review. Fried pickles spears with the rock n roll sauce were great. I wouldn't have ordered these except my server recommended them out of all the apps, so I went with that. Fried things at places like this usually lack flavor and are just salty, fried bar food. These had some kick. The rock n roll sauce was like a Mayo with Frito's Chili Cheese Twists, so they were yummy. Tilapia on wild rice was ok, but it's tilapia, so how amazing can it be, right? Broccoli wasn't too over cooked and it still had a healthy green color, so I was happy with that. And the fries were a tad greasy, but they came out hot and crunchy. I think if they let the oil drain off them a bit more under a heat lamp, they'd hold their crispness a bit longer. Oh, and it was an entire plate of fries, so portions were generous. Lastly, everything was served very quickly. The place wasn't super-busy, but it wasn't dead and I was happy about the timeliness. I ordered an app first then placed an order for my entree after munching on that. And I was out done in 45 minutes. Granted, I was eating alone, but still. If you enjoy meat, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. I am a pescatarian (mostly vegetarian) and I have a sneaking suspicion that their beef and chicken options have much more developed flavors.

My husband and I have been frequent flyers at the South Sioux Don'$ location. We're very excited…read morethey've been able to expand. I'm going to try and not make this review a comparison between the two. The location isn't the easiest to get to, but parking is ample. It's also connected to a family fun center and a bowling alley. Right across the lot is the city's minor-minor-minor (I don't know the official term) baseball league home. It's all next to an ice rink that is used for sports and recreation. It's a great family-friendly area of Sioux City. Food is the same as the SSC location which is wonderful. They have the BEST burgers in town. I also LOVE their fries. The only thing not making these restaurants my favorites is the ranch dressing. They just use generic, bottled ranch. It's not good. I'd kill if they made actual 'restaurant' ranch. I've literally brought in my own ramekin of ranch when I'm craving a meal I usually eat with it. BUT, the brown gravy and queso are to die for. It would be a part of my last meal. Staff is great. This area has a smaller bar than the SSC area, but the bartenders whip up everything the same. I don't drink, but they're down for their margaritas. This place is kinda like a locally-owned Chilis, but with better food. A great place for even a couple drinks and some poutine.

My sweet potato fries with ranch dip were really tasty. We each had a glass of Pinot Grigio, which were refreshing. The service was great! Can't believe we've never been here before. Camping outside of Webster City, we always look for a local spot to try when we travel. Tonight,…read morelucky us, it was the Grid Iron. Be prepared to show a little grace, there were a lot of cars turning in there as we came up to it- from the food, I'm guessing they're always busy! My wife chose their mainline burger (no cheese) and house fries. Honestly, I think we could tell how good it was going to be when got out of the car and that awesome charbroil smell overwhelmed us. She loved it. I had the Chipotle Bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast, well done for me (they will prepare to your liking), which is charbroiled, then dunked in their home made bourbon sauce and served with Swiss cheese and jalapeños. The fries have some type of coating that makes them a little crispier and a little tastier. Even if you're cruising up I35, it's worth the detour into WC for a great meal. Plenty of tv's but even with a crowd, you can still have enjoyable conversation at your table. It's no wonder one whole wall is covered with "best of" awards. They deserve them. Bon Appetite!
