I recently puchased a 72 inch antique shipswheel dining table with a glass top at an estate sale. Absolutely beautiful, custom made for a United States Navy, Nuclear Submarine Captain and the only one like it in existance. Even better, the wheel was from a large USNS cargo ship that participated in the Normandy, D Day, Invasion on June 6, 1944. On June 8, 1944 the ship was scuttled, along with several other ships, off Utah Beach to create, an artifical breakwater, (Gooseberry 1), to protect Utah Beach from exposier to the sea during the invasion landings. Ok, so much for history. The 6 foot diameter X 5/8 inch glass top had many scratches, some quite deep. Mike, the "Scratch Wizard", was here on time and working everyday. He worked seven, four hour days, polishing the scratches out, ultimately achiving a perfectly clear, undistorted glass masterpiece. I was impressed with his determination to achive perfection. Mike was very careful to protect other items in the area and never made a mess. At my suggestion he left his equipment in place every night which saved a lot of time, starting up and breaking down each day. Mike is very easy to work with. Mike honored the origonal price quote eventhough the job took longer than expected inorder to meet his high standards. Damaged my glass, then left with my money! Mike quoted me $300 to repair 2 small scratches on my entryway door. I thought it was a little steep so I told him no thanks. I would try a scratch kit off amazon. He told me those scratch removal kits were trash, but then quoted $200 but only if I paid in advance. I paid, he started work, I left him for 5 minutes and he was gone, never to return. He made the scratches 3 times worse than I started with. I called him several times. He blocked my number. Don't trust this guy. I did buy a $25 scratch kit off amazon. Fixed it all myself in 40 minutes. read more

Mike was fantastic. I had some housecleaners that deeply scratched my glass shower doors. I can't even imagine how they managed to do it, but Mike was able to make them look almost brand new again. The scratches were deep enough to catch my fingernail, so it was a significant repair. Please do not use Google to try to find ways to repair glass scratches. Had scheduled appointment today at 10am. Drove 2 hours to meet Mike at the jobsite to buff out a couple of glass panels. Called at 10:15am and he said "sorry, had an issue with my car, I'll be there in 25-30mins". Total disregard for my time. Called again at 10:40am and he said he would be there in about another 20 mins. Again, total disregard for my time. He started blaming one of his employees on why he is going to be late. Mike then called me an idiot because I told him that he should have had the courtesy to contact me PRIOR to our scheduled meeting time to advise that he would be late. Instead, I had to call him after our set meeting time to find out where he was. Needless to say, I won't be using this company and would highly suggest people look elsewhere. I have no issue if things happen and you might be late, but to not communicate with the customer and just expect them to wait around is wrong. read more
