There is a new kid on the block, or should I say Arcade?
Less than a week ago Scoup opened in Pt Chevalier, a welcome addition to the small array of food outlets and shops, especially for the main drag of a seaside suburb. They have flyers everywhere announcing the arrival and are offering a discount till the end of June on their yummy gelato. I was after a freshly squeezed juice myself, so opted for a small 'Tropicool' with mango, pinapple and apple, it was yummy but would have been even yummier if it had coconut milk too (virgin pina colada with extras).
A strange addition is that they also sell fish and chips, dumplings and soup - the main focus is obviously on the desserts and gelato section by the looks of it. It has been re-furnished really nicely, looking clean, modern and welcoming. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The place was quite popular on this lazy Friday afternoon with several diners seated outside chatting away, and others like myself buying to takeaway. read more
