The problem is that the last time I had my hair cut there was in 2010. I am not sure if the "Walk-ins Welcome" sign is still up, but if it is, it shouldn't be. I've "walked in" a dozen times in the past five years--all different times of the day. Every time the owner is watching TV or playing on her phone, but I can't get a haircut because she'll have an appointment scheduled. (Mostly these appointments seem to be for women, so I guess the "Mens Shop" part of the sign should come down, too.) In summary, I'd pay $25 for a haircut (which is more than she charges) at Get a Hair Cut in Goodrich, but I can't find a time when they'll take it. (Someone might read this and ask, Why doesn't he just make an appointment? Good question. The thing is, I used to live in Goodrich and could pop in whenever, but now we're 40 minutes south. So I only stop in when we're passing through.)

I got to thinking, how dumb where they, I am a retired marine with a military hair cut that takes about 10 min to cut, and they turned me away, now I could see if they were busy but they were obviously not. Lost opportunity for them to gain a customer. Needless to say every time I speak to someone about my barber or where I go, I end up telling the story. The old saying, do something right for a customer they will tell 5 people, do something wrong they will tell 5000!! Food for thought.

Jazzy music in the background playing. The barber closest to the window was open for a cut. He has long hair, back in a low messy bumtail. Clean cut beard. Seems cool. He let us know that a cut is $30 cash, so there's no confusion later. My husband asked for a shorter cut is all and the Barber got right to it. The Barber is very thorough and wants to make sure to give a great cut. The barber favors using the switch blade razor for trimming, it has an attachment for texturingthat's talent.

The team here does an excellent job, always engaging and extremely skilled.
