I have a toilet in a powder room with wood floor. I am the original owner of my home, which was…read moreconstructed 5 years ago. About a year ago the toilet in the powder room failed -- water was leaking from the bottom and damaged my wooden floor. I immediately called a plumber to have it fixed (replace the wax ring), only to have it fail again a year later! This second time around (now) the water leak was small and I did not notice it right away, not until I saw the wood start to swell and what looked like mold start to form. I knew I needed not only the toilet fixed (again!) but I also needed the floor repaired. Plus, given the leak hadn't been noticed right away, I was afraid for what damage might have been done to the subfloor. So now I needed the floor repaired and the toilet repaired. I looked and asked for quotes from multiple places. So many came back with blanket "bids" or assured me it would be "in and out". Just didn't sound like they were interested in doing the job *right*. However, then I reached out to Good Work Construction and I got a very reasonable quote and honest assessment of the situation. I decided to go with Good Work Construction. Tyler came out to my house to assess the damage. All things considered, the damage wasn't too bad and was very centralized, and thankfully the subfloor was fine. Tyler was very meticulous in his approach, doing things in a very methodical way and assessing as he went. Doing so really minimized the footprint of flooring that needed to be replaced. Beneath the damaged wood Tyler found it to be a bit wet and recommended we wait a day or two to let it dry. I really appreciated this because any other person might have done the repair to simply get it done and call it a day, but Tyler helped set up fans to get things dry. He came back another two days, because it just wasn't dry enough. He spent extra hours at our house to ensure the repair was done to last. He disinfected and sealed the subfloor, and upgraded various toilet parts to maintain the longevity of the toilet repair. He took great care in replacing the floor, cutting fresh wood with some spare wood we had in storage. It is a very seamless repair and I am super happy with it! He also explained how he was doing the repair and why its important to repair certain things in a certain way, and also educated us on a shortcut that he's seen in the industry, so it isn't uncommon, but was unfortunately the thing that made our toilet fail multiple times. I am so glad that it was finally done correctly! I highly, highly recommend Good Work Construction. Such honest folks. They are my new go-to handyman service. It is so difficult to find someone who is good at multiple skilled trades, and Good Work Construction really has them!

I can't say enough about Hilman Constuction. My husband and I met with Chris approximately a year…read moreago about remodeling two of our bathrooms. During our initial consultation he impressed us as very knowledgeable and someone who would be easy to work with. Our impression turned out to be spot on. Initially, the project was estimated to take approximately ten to 12 weeks but due to events completely on our end, having to start and stop the project several times, it took about a year to finish. Throughout it all Chris never missed a beat and was completely understanding and accommodating with his schedule. Then when I told him I needed my half bathroom on my first floor turned into a full bathroom he creatively took space from an adjacent closet and made it work beautifully. He was also very collaborative about ideas for our two bathrooms upstairs. We were working with a designer who developed the plans for the upstairs bathrooms that turned out not to be completely workable for the master and Chris came up with ideas to still give us everything we wanted and actually made it look better than the original design. He is a contractor, along with his team, that you can count on to give you solid and informed ideas and solutions and I look forward to to working with him in the future and I recommend him without hesitation.

Thanks, team!

Needed to have an old, leaky spigot replaced and Jay did a great job. We have had several projects…read moredone to our house and they were by far the fastest to respond and follow through with their work. They came in the afternoon to confirm the estimate and were back the next morning to do the work. The communication was great, we knew what to expect at every step. It was also nice to have online payment options (including credit card). The contract was also online and was comprehensive which I really appreciated. So many contractors have unclear paper contracts, if they have one at all! The process made everything really easy and efficient. We will definitely be using them again!

After asking questions to get a better understanding of the project, he gave us a quote and told us he could be out there the following morning. We were astonished at the quick turnaround and grateful since we are looking to put our house on the market in the very near future. When Jay arrived with his team member, Juan, he re-explained what the project would entail and then Juan got to work. Juan ensured everything was covered and protected from the drywall dust/paint drips and worked extremely efficiently. Within 6 hours, our project was complete. As we are looking for a new home to purchase, we will definitely be reaching out to Dirty Deeds for any renovation needs.

Thanks to the pandemic I've never spent more time in my yard and it just keeps becoming more and…read moremore fun out there. More and more fun for my children that is, but if they're happy...we're happy! Last spring we got a spring trampoline, which may just be the most used toy in our house...even thru winter! Last summer we got an above ground pool (like the rest of the United States) and while it was fun for a pandemic summer I prefer to spend my days at a real pool. And I think my kids would agree. When we decided no pool for this coming summer my kids had the brilliant idea to get a zipline to make use of the space we were no longer using. A few of their friends had ziplines (all from amazon/target) and they thought they were so fun. I started looking into all the brands of zipline and then came across JB Builders work. We already have a playset (pre pandemic), but if I were building one now I would definitely go thru JB Builders because his work is no comparison to anything else I've seen. He also builds playsets that are great for older children; my 8 and 10 year old have outgrown most of ours with the exception of the swings. We weren't really in the market for a new playset, but I reached out to see if he could build just a zipline in our yard. He came by a few days later and said he could build a platform attached to our playset and the kids could zip across the yard. The day he came out there was about 10 ft of snow on the ground, but I was all for getting the zipline installed ASAP. Unfortunately, JB is very popular between outdoor playsets, ziplines and even amazing indoor ninja gyms so I had to wait til mid April. His pricing is definitely more than what you'll find at target, but felt like it was safer and knew by the time I had a handyman install the target version it wouldn't be that much less. Mid April arrived and my kids were beyond excited. The older 2 and their friends love zipping across the yard, as do their friends. My 5 year old is a bit timid, but is happy on it as long as I'm holding it...and I know will be joining his big brother and sister for the ride sooner than later. I did get a little nervous about the safety of it, but it's pretty secure and I always make sure I hold a kid their first time on it no matter their age. Paranoid parent here. I even made my husband test it out before anyone in the family because figured if it could hold his weight all the kids were OK! My kids have already asked for an indoor ninja gym and I think they'd get sick of it fast since they aren't really the ninja climbing types, but if i did have that type of kid I would most definitely look into JB Builders. And if I ever decid to build a bigger kid playset JB will be my first call.

They love ninja warrior, but nothing looked like it would be a good fit for our woodsy backyard area. We collaboratively designed a treehouse with a ninja course underneath that looks great!
