We have paid in full for the next 20 or so remaining months so I do not have a choice for my child…read more So far I would recommend people steer clear of this orthodontist office! I hope they can change my mind with better patient care over the course of my child's treatment plan! The lower glued apparatus wire that holds the rubber bands has fallen off several times now on both sides - Just popped off when he is putting the rubber bands on. The first time was about a week into the treatment plan. We were 'fit in' to the schedule for the repair and the technician - because she was not the orthodontist - did not know how to reattach it and was very confused .. she spun it in her hands and even said she didn't know how to put it back on. She had to go find someone to tell her how to attach it. It was not attached correctly and the rubber bands were unwearable. Whenever he tried the rubber band would slide back behind the wire and fall in between his teeth and pull at the glue and not the wire. 3 weeks later they did the next step in his treatment and gave my child stronger rubber bands to wear. (The lower apparatus bar had already popped off and been replaced on the other side by this time with another 'fit in appointment' - my child was not eating or drinking anything when it popped off merely putting on the rubber bands before bed) Within three days of this treatment planned visit the poorly replaced lower wire apparatus side was pulled off by the stronger rubber bands. The way the wire was glued to his teeth there was no way it would stay on the wire so it was inevitable that the stronger rubber band would pull off the wire. They could not fit him in for several weeks as their only openings required him to miss an AP exam or for me to take another day off of work to wait on a two hour fit in appointment. The 'fit in appointments' are exactly that .. come at this time and we will do our best to see you when there is time. The 'fit in appointments' have been a long wait. I scheduled the next 'regular' appointment which was over two weeks out. Today was the reapplication for the lower wire again and the technician had my child's gum line bloody and chopped up from her tools and his lip was bleeding from where her tool hit his inside lip when he reflexively moved from her aggressive gum line work. She told him it was his fault she hit his lip with her tool because he moved and he needed to stay still. Thank you for your firm scolding and taking no responsibility for your rough handling of his mouth. Great patient care. I am certain there is responsibility for this on both sides of the dental chair. Considering how many offices and patients these doctors have I am sad to see they don't have a better system (it's like a McDonalds of dentistry) or more qualified and considerate technicians to care for their patients. I also wonder if I should have paid monthly because I can't help but wonder if their lack of polite patient care with my child is because they have my money already.

They were extremely unprofessional, the doctor continuously spoke down to the dental hygienist to the point that she had to be transferred to another office for peace, and then they kept running late, charging incorrect amounts to me and my insurance, they do not answer the phone ever, they call multiple times in one day regarding appointments, the receptionist talk to patients on speaker in the lobby and then they talk about those patients in a negative manner and the entire staff gaslight patients. This is a terrible establishment and terrible service.

First and foremost my appointment was scheduled for 3:00 and didn't end up leaving there till 5:10…read more Please take note that the appointment was for a regular dental cleaning. Upon waiting in the waiting room after my arrival at 2:45, I was there, in the waiting room, till about 3:45. Why? What was the hold up? Never really found out why. I was the only patient there at that time. There was no other foot traffic whatsoever, but there were 3 workers behind the front desk doing who knows what. I was there for a simple cleaning and x-rays, as I was a first time patient. Once my name was called I was taken to the x-ray area and had those taken care of. After that I was taken to the exam room. Again, I ended up waiting there for an additional 25-35 minutes. When my teeth were examined by the technician all I could hear were numbers that were loudly expressed with negativity, making me feel uncomfortable. The first questions from the technician were how I felt about the numbers I heard, obviously my natural response was to say, "not good?" I was in an awkward position on how to respond and was not sure how on what to say. Granted, things made sense with those numbers since there are displays/posters and what not posted everywhere in the exam room. Something that made me feel super uncomfortable was to have the actual "dentist" who is supposed to traditionally look at my teeth in person appear on a large screen television screen to give me any recommendations and to ask any questions I may have regarding the information given by the assistants/technicians. This whole method made me feel rather uncomfortable and not fully authenticated, as I prefer to have a physical dentist check on me personally with the assistant. As a side note, I have had never had any bad reviews about my teeth, I've always had compliments with how healthy and nice my teeth have been kept. Get this, the technician told me that I needed a to have a deep cleaning and refused to give me my regular dental cleaning that I am entitled to by my insurance that is already included in my already paid for dental insurance. This dental office/company tried to rob me by paying over $600 for a deep cleaning that was not necessary and only $150 being covered by my insurance. When I refused to pay for the deep cleaning that was necessary, I was told to wait in the waiting room to pay my $5 fee I owed to pay for a bio-hazard waste material fee used during the exam, so I did as followed. Guess what? The technician thought I had left without paying, so I ended up in the waiting room as told, and waited an additional 15+ minutes before I had to get up to the receptionist desk to report that I could no longer wait as I have other responsibilities that exceed this excessive long visit that was not planned. This is when the last person left in the office said, "oh we thought you left," which I dang well should have. I paid my petty $5 and left. After this visit I have noticed that other individuals have had similar experiences about getting recommendations for other problems/cleanings/etc that were not needed, only "recommended," as well as being uncomfortable with not having a physical "dentist" in house to take a double check on a patient's mouth. As to me photos/x-rays don't do justice like a physical check of one's mouth might be like. Nonetheless I have found a family owned and 5 star rated dental office that was able to help me a few days after this horrific experience with honest results and numbers or what not broken down to me in laymen's terms as well as my regular dental cleaning, no questions or issues whatsoever. Coast Dental is and has a bad reputation with trying to tell patients that they need certain work done that is most of the time false; based off of other reviews I have read regarding this corporation/brand. I will never return and will always give negative reviews about this brand/experience. This company is extremely careless and only worried about making money off of vulnerable patients. Very wrong. Makes me so upset. Best believe me that word is and has been spreading with this extreme negative experience that I had never expected.

I went for a cleaning they will not do this procedure until I saw the orthodontist first. I had two fillings and a crown done. The Dr was in a hurry. His assistant was very nice. The wait was not so bad to see the Dr. I decided after the first day, that I was finishing what was started and not coming back. Every appointment was the same confusion and delays, even though everything was documented in my chart. Today I waited almost an hour between the lobby and the chair, only for Dr. Bernal to refuse to treat me and say she did not want me as a patient while I still have an active infection. No explanation, no alternative, nothing. Completely unprofessional and unsafe. The office manager did absolutely nothing to help or acknowledge the situation. Honestly, she should be replaced. Margarita, on the other hand, was the only person who actually cared, communicated, and tried to resolve the issue. She should be the one managing that office. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
