Redding Tae Kwon Do teaches you all the fundamentals governed by the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. Which is a member of the IOC Olympic Committee. I believe any current of future students who learn from Master Kim will enrich themselves with greater learning of the art of Tae Kwon Do. Master Kim is a great instructor with excellent teaching and communication skills. The Studio is incredibly clean and well maintained. There is a viewing area for parents or friends to watch quietly as the students train on the wall to wall padded training floor. Along with plenty of kicking bags, punching pads, and sparring gear, Redding Tae Kwon Do is the best place to learn with safety in mind! I have personally enjoyed all the lessons I have received from this studio and hope you and your family do as well. I just wish there was another studio like his in my area since I have moved. Thank You Always Master Kim!!

Master Kim made it such an easy transition for us to start. We love how he is with the kids, very knowledged and fun. You can tell he truly enjoys his work and the kids love it! Our other two have asked to join as well. It has been such a relief to have such a smooth transition and to have our child excited to go every week. The building is very nicely set up for families to watch and younger kids to play in the back room. Very clean and orderly. We are so glad to have found ready taekwondo and made it our new martial arts home.

He's been allowed to help the younger children and been given responsibility as seen fit. He enjoys coming to class very much. Coach is the kind to push someone past their ability because he sees potential, but not past the point where kids would lose confidence in themselves. It's a fine balance and I appreciate having someone coaching my son who understands and acknowledges this. Also, it's funny because a lot of parents fear that putting their kids in to a fighting class will promote violence but it has done the opposite. My son hasn't gotten in trouble for fighting or any other physical altercations in the past six years. We'll continue coming here!

I appreciate that there is someone available to answer questions about new memberships/billing. Very professional. The kids class is massive and they have plenty of instructors on the mat to help. Instruction here is top notch. It's kind of expected that you'll get "thrown to the wolves" when you start jiu jitsu as there are really no "basics/beginner course"; you just immerse and catch up eventually (unless you pay extra for personals). I appreciate that they see when someone needs help and they provide it, instead of leaving you lost and floundering. As for adults class, everyone is friendly and respectful. There are no women's classes (that's fine) and males and females are mixed in class but they do a great job with the culture to ensure the women don't feel intimidated. The female black belt instructors do an amazing job at putting new female students at ease. Everyone is so nice and respectful and I have not had any negative experiences. More emphasis on self-defense aspect here, which I appreciate. Very realistic. But they'll also get you competition-ready if that's your goal too. I appreciate the structure, discipline, and higher expectation here. Quality team and families. Highly recommend!

Starting you slow and continually letting you in on some more info that helps you get better. Teaching is always sprinkled with a bit of humor. Some of his own black belts help teach classes.

This creates a balance. I highly recommend Northwest Martial Arts. PS. The dojo is located same side of Safeway but across the street next to Jack's donuts!

White Tiger Studios is a great place for both kids and adults to learn Kenpo Karate…read more My son has been going to White Tiger Studios for about 3 years now and loves going. He has learned so much and the whole experience has been great for him. Jesse (the owner) works very well with my son and the other kids in the class. He makes learning Karate fun, but still keeps the kids inline so they keep focused and learn what they are supposed to learn. The cost of the lessons is very reasonable and the classes are twice a week. Jesse also does private lessons and for $20.00 for an hour it is a great deal. White Tiger Studios is great for almost any age of student, from 4-5 years old to adult. I look forward to hopefully many more years of taking my son to White Tiger Studios and Jesse to continue learning Karate.

Booking & the party itself was seem-less, all the kids had a great time and few parents asked for details about booking afterwards. The gym is very clean plus the guys who run the party and demo'ed all the obstacles were great with all the kids. 4 of the 20 kids who attended have autism, we were expecting to have to explain or encourage patience (as we do with many other places) but we didn't even need to disclose any differences! The guys were naturally patient, so kind and encouraging with ALL the kids-they naturally treated all the kids with grace and encouraged them all to do the obstacles, and offered helping hands when needed, like a boost up for ropes out of reach. Highly recommend and grateful for such a great business in town.

Sad to publicly admit that many days I struggled to get up and doing anything. I read, watched tv and did household chores but that was about it. After reading the February issue of Enjoy (Redding area magazine) which focused on women, our health issues and tons of great articles I saw the ad for FemFit. I knew that I needed to research this option more and after meeting with Mikilah immediately signed up. I have gone to classes 3 times a week for a month and feel better and happier than I have in, maybe, years. Everyone is so nice and welcoming- no judgement just support and friendship. Truly women helping other women! The trainers in the classes make special adjustments for my aging, achy knees and other ladies often ask "how are you feeling today? How is your knee?" Love this place and I can't say enough positive things about it.
