I loved my bank and was with them for over 15 years. Unfortunately I did not look at the next town over to discover this PNC and I changed banks to one close to my new home. One year later, I needed to research and get information from a previous bank statement that was 18 months old. When I tried to do it on-line, I could not access my records. So I got on line and found that there was this PNC in Edwardsville. I made the short drive and explained my situation to one of the customer service reps. He treated me as if I were still a customer and helped my find the information I needed. It took us a good 30-40 minutes. I may not still be a customer of PNC, but this branch gave excellent customer service. If you live in the area of this branch, I highly recommend them. I wish I lived closer.

After that she tells me there's going to be a $6 charge since I don't have an account there?????? I didn't randomly pick a bank that I don't have an account with to cash my check at I picked the bank that it was drawn from no $6 isn't alot of money but one it's mine and two how you going to charge me to get money out of an account you hold? Today I found out that they no longer do this. I couldn't even make a deposit with an ATM! I called SCU and the young lady FIRST told me to set up a "pop money" under Bill Pay (which ONLY transfers money FROM SCU & I need to transfer money INTO SCU. Then she said "we're getting a new system the end of the month". She then said "you can mail it in or you can do a wire transfer for $20 from your bank." I went back to my local CU and paid for a wire transfer. I pray it gets deposited before any overdrafts. We've been members of SCU since 2000. For the last 13 years, we've lived out of the region and have had great service considering we live out of the region. This is completely unacceptable There was ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING about this change went out to their customers who are out of the region.

I just found out that their credit cards are far superior in lower interest than the ones that I have (switching to their cards). Also, I have bought Six Flag tickets and other entertainment tickets from them (huge savings for members). Now, that already puts them at ten stars in my book. But, even more than is how personable, friendly, and home town feel this bank gets another five stars. They are very helpful and courteous. They remember who you are when they see you, and they bend over backwards to make you feel like you are dealing with a five star bank. I can't never imagine banking anywhere else (seriously).

Busey recently bought out our local bank in a Edwardsville, Illinois. We pay extra principal on our…read moremortgage and have for several years with no problem. When I received our January 2020 statement, I noticed the majority of our extra principal paid ($544.75 of $605) was applied to interest, not principal. I contacted the corporate office immediately and was told it would be corrected and they don't know how it happened. I asked how it would be corrected in the future and was told I should "keep an eye on it" to make sure it doesn't happen again. Not even an apology. I visited our local branch when the next payment was due and spoke to two customer service agents that confirmed they were aware of the problem in general and my payment had been corrected but explained there was a programming glitch that had yet to be properly addressed. I asked had I not noticed it would it have been discovered and if an audit was being done and what actions were being taken to fix the problem. They stated "probably at some point" and it had been reported to the next level but weren't aware of any fixes to the problem. Again, not even an apology but more importantly, I wasn't assured they were working on a solution. I'll be moving my mortgage and all my business to a different bank as soon as possible.
