I'm in his industry as well and we met recently to discuss best practices and agency management and what occurred to me is his experience, and his relationship with the carrier he represents, American Family, is something that his clients shouldn't take for granted. It's rare that you have an agent with the personality, experience and relationship with the various people within an insurance company that he has. Many people check out Yelp and Google just to research a business before they make a decision. If you're doing that right now, I'll let you know that in terms of credibility, value, and care about clients, you won't do much better than Dave!

Beware, the quotes provided by the agent don't mean anything after you pay in full for 6month/12 month policy terms even if there are no claims. The company removes discounts after you pay in full (or the agent misleads by adding discounts to win your business with a low quote with the intention of charging more?). The agent doesn't own the mistake, doesn't help to resolve issues, expects more money, and even worse doesn't care when the shady company cancels the fully paid policy much before the policy end date, uses the paid policy premium for unfair fees that it charges. By the way, for the renewal, the company expects payment one month in advance or one could incur late charges.
