I called three offices in the area, and Steim Family Dentist was the only one that offered to get me in the next day!! Fast forward to procedure day. The front desk employees are welcoming and efficient. The office is clean and cozy. The dental assistant was so cheerful and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me feel calm. Another woman came in to inject the numbing medication. This woman was the absolute best!!!! I never felt the pinch or the pressure of the injection that I have always experienced in the past! Well done!!!! The dentist is also friendly and calming. He let me know step you step what was happening during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. During the exam, Dr. Boyack came across as flippant and dismissive, which didn't give me confidence in the care I was receiving. The cleaning later that day was performed in a rough and unskilled manner. I was uncomfortable throughout the appointment and ended up with pain that lasted for weeks. After the appointment, I expressed my concerns and the staff didn't seemed surprised. The next day I was told the cost of the cleaning would be credited to my next visit. When I later decided not to return to the practice due to their inability to give pertinent information and offer timely services, I requested the refund that had been offered and the office refused to issue it. Communicating with the practice to resolve the matter was consistently difficult. They will also tell you that you need to pay them $150 to be evaluated before they can refer you to a specialist. First, you can refer yourself to a specialist and second, this office caused the pain that I needed to be referred for, so that was completely unreasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. In fact, don't walk, RUN from this office!

The first endodontist I saw was set to do a root canel, my first one ever. However, this doctor didn't do any xrays, and at my husband's insistence, he found Dr. Kanning who saw me right away and insisted on an x-ray. Very clean office and I am grateful that I got the best treatment. I had to have the tooth extracted by an oral surgeon.

I was scared to go because I was assaulted in 2007, have PTSD, anxiety, and have lost all of my hearing. I had a zillion reasons to avoid the dentist and I did for 10 years. My mouth really needed help. I consulted one dentist last year first who told me I needed three teeth pulled and it scared the life outta me so I crawled back into my cave and hid. I went and saw Dr. Z because I needed help this year with pain and decided to face the music. Dr. Z is very calm and soothing. He gives you honest answers and lets you decide what to do and also spells it out for you what it will set you back financially. I was relieved to discover that he can save my teeth. I do not need them extracted. I am so glad I went to see him, now he has a fan for life. Just today I had a root canal that was so fast and painless I wasn't sure it even happened. Ha ha, it did. I am not scared anymore and so glad I went to see Dr. Z. His office staff is so friendly and kind.
