Mathnasium is particularly good for elementary school kids. They offer their own "Number Sense" math curriculum which helps kids learn math in a more intuitive way. I immediately googled math tutoring, called Mathnasium and they set her up with a free first session. She was so happy when she was finished so I signed her up. Eight months later I now have a child that has confidence in math. The owner, Shamiran communicates with her math teacher so they are on the same page during the year. The tutors are patient and always ask her about what is going on in her life to make her feel special and cared about. She loves the rewards that she can choose from as well. A great incentive for putting in the work. Scheduling is easy and they work with you if you need to reschedule an appointment. Her teacher gave her an award at the end of the year for the highest test scores in her class. She speaks up when questions are asked and she is always asking me at random to give her hard math questions. Mathnasium saved our year and breathed new energy into a little girl that was feeling defeated. We do most days virtually and one day in person. We will continue to be clients of this business so she can keep that amazing energy. Best investment EVER!! Best owner ever! One happy mom. One smarter and more confident kid.

At first I was a little put off because the students there are mostly in elementary, middle or high school but that was not an issue at all. Eric and Eric usually helped me and they knew the material on a deep level. I wasn't only shown how to do problems but the concepts were also explained to me. My professor did not pay as much attention to detail as the tutors at Mathnasium did. I really appreciated their patience, expertise and approach. If I didn't understand what they were saying, that was ok, they would try to explain it again or in a different way so that I could understand. If you have a child that is struggling with Math or a superstar in Math Mathnasium is a great place to bring them because they can teach at every level. If you are a college student and unsure about whether or not to pull the trigger, I highly recommend this place. For the amount of tutoring you can receive 5 days a week, it is a great value when compared to private tutoring. I can't say enough positive things about the people that work there and the owner Dave. They are stand up people that are dedicated to helping students with Math and truly care about your success and you as a person.

At this stage, what really stands out is how the Waldorf education model develops independent thinking, confidence, and strong communication skills. Unlike many traditional private high schools in Palm Beach, the curriculum is not just about test scores but about preparing students for real world success. My niece is challenged academically, but she is also learning how to think critically and express herself with clarity. If you are looking for a middle school or high school in Palm Beach County that goes beyond memorization, this is an incredible option. The teachers are highly engaged and act more like mentors, which is rare to find in other private schools in Florida. It truly feels like a college preparatory environment while still maintaining a supportive and creative culture that sets it apart.

We honestly did not believe she was going to be promoted to the fourth grade. At first, we tried to tutor our daughter ourselves, thinking how hard could it be? It's third grade! But we realized we didn't have the tools to help her effectively. It just wasn't working. All of us ended up feeling incredibly frustrated and upset. We were in over our heads. We just didn't know what we were doing. We realized we needed a professional tutor who has the education and experience in elementary teaching- particularly in teaching students with ADD. Since we started taking our daughter to Huntington Learning Center in Boca Raton, her confidence gradually began to build as she not only started to learn the academic basics that were being taught in her grade level but the strategies to do so. The program director, Robert, worked with our daughter's teachers to make sure they were all on the same page with regard to our daughter's educational plan. What happened as a result is that out daughter gained such significant knowledge and confidence that she passed the third grade with flying colors! We cannot possibly thank Robert and his team of educational professionals for helping our daughter. If your daughter or son is struggling, I highly recommend that you please give these folks a call.

I attended Forest Trail Academy for my freshman and sophomore years of high school. I am undeniably…read morecertain that I made the right decision taking these two years of school online. Forest Trail was my first experience with online schooling, and there are definite pros and cons.  Pros:  It's truly at your own pace. There are no deadlines (aside from finishing within the year) so you can work whenever you want to. This is nice for obvious reasons! The work isn't that difficult. Reading through the material gets a bit lengthy, but as long as you have common sense, it will not be difficult for you to pass.  Cons:  If you have inattentive teacher, you're really on your own. I worked best when I focused on one class at a time, and then I would move onto the next class. The final class that I had to finish my sophomore year was my math class. I messaged my teacher quite a bit asking for specific help on specific lessons. The teacher would take anywhere from 4-7 days to respond. And unfortunately, when she did respond, she refused to answer my questions. She would say, "please review the material". This was very frustrating because the material just didn't make sense to me, and my teacher refused to help me.  It's expensive. This is not a bargain by any means. You will definitely be paying a pretty penny to attend Forest Trail. Although, if it's worth it to you for a truly at-your-own-pace school, then it's worth it.  I stopped attending forest trail because of the price and my experience with my math teacher. But, I'm glad that I spent two years enrolled in this school. You could probably find a better deal out there, but Forest Trail is definitely an option that will get the job done.
