I always ordered a toffeenut latte with an extra shot when I came here. I WAS a regular customer. Just FYI, because it is relevant to this review, I like my coffee to taste less sweet, and with the extra shot, it tastes the way I like it to taste. But when the extra shot isn't in there, the coffee looks about a shade lighter & tastes sweeter and less coffee flavor than I like (when the drink is ordered normally, without the extra shot that I order). I must state this clearly: I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. If my coffee is correct, I say thank you & leave. If my coffee is not the way I ordered it, i would always say in a polite and non-condescending tone of voice that my coffee simply did not have the extra shot and it does not taste the way I like it to taste/the way it was ordered. If the coffee costed less than $6.55 for the large with the one mod, then I probably would not even bother trying to fix their mistake with the extra shot. But let's be real. I am absolutely not paying almost $7 for a cup of coffee that was thrown together by a barista who was rushing (despite their blatant lack of customers or busy times) and simply didn't listen over the drive through speaker thing. Look, I ordered this drink lots of days. lots and lots of times. I must state again that I know the difference between the toffeenut latte WITH and WITHOUT the modification that I order. I specifically order this mod because of taste. The girl at Scooters in Fairmont talked down to me about it when I politely stated that I don't taste the extra shot (I CAN TELL, DAMN IT). The girl told me "since this happens a lot...maybe you should order less flavoring in you drink..." in a condescending tone of voice. I thought, but did NOT say, "MAYBE YOUR BARISTAS WHO ARENT BUSY SHOULD JUST LISTEN!! YOU HAVE ONE JOB."when my fiancé ordered my drink, he clearly asked for an extra shot. The girl did not acknowledge this. She stated the price. Like I said, I order this same thing a lot, So I am aware of the price. It is $6.55 for the extra shot in a size large. I ordered the SAME beverage I always order, but the girl did not repeat it back, was not attentive, & wasn't listening to the modification during ordering. When I got the drink, I tasted it and then stated it wasn't quite right, but not rudely. The girl talked down to me and told me the extra shot IS IN THERE & the little condescending bit about ordering differently (less flavoring), as if it was entirely my fault, even though I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO ORDER. I could tell the extra shot wasn't in there, but instead of saying all of what I really wanted to say, I said, "Never mind " and decided to take my business down the road to the Caribou inside Hy-Vee where they actually listen to customers. The girl at Scooters told me to order differently, but my toffeenut latte with the extra shot was EXACTLY what I wanted. I order exactly what I want, & not for a barista to tell me I'm ordering wrong & it's my fault and the extra shot IS IN THERE. A different time, I was handed the completely wrong drink & when I said something, a different girl said, "that's not what you ordered?" It was the wrong drink and wrong size. what else can I say? The baristas talk down to you, even if you aren't being rude about your drink being wrong. Seriously, the incompetence is real. Go somewhere else with your hard-earned cash!! 0/5 stars. Because I liked Scooters at first, but after this experience I had the other day, I decided never to spend another penny here. Addition: also they charged me the wrong price and lied about adding the extra shot. They charged me $6.10 instead of $6.55 and then the girl told me it was there, but i wasn't charged for it.
