For the last few years, I have tried to avoid drinking my calories but was desperate for a healthy dinner after weeks of holiday binging and couldn't think of any other to-go options while on Fort Wayne. So a few days after Xmas in 2025, I swung by this Smoothie King and overpaid for some fruit and granola. The inside was clean and there were a lot of staff working very efficiently. One other family was inside, enjoying what I think was probably $50 of pulverized fruit. A medium angel food slim smoothie and a go-go goji crunch acai bowl cost over $23!! My impulse desire for a sort of healthier dinner cost twice as much as I was hoping to spend. The smoothie also needed an addition to make it thicker yet still lower calorie, like low sugar, high protein yogurt (which I think should be an option if they are charging so much anyway.) The rewards on the app aren't that generous either. It seems like I would need to spend $25 before tax to get $2 off the next order. Although oddly, I see on the app I was only given about $18 dollars worth of points so idk what is up with that. Smoothies and acai bowls are good and all, but should NOT be more than $10 each! Next time I think about drinking my calories, I'll remember just how expensive it is to do so haha!

The staff was warm and friendly. They seemed genuinely thankful for my business. I decided to order the Carribean Dream meal replacement shake with plant fusion protein. It had mango, pineapple, spinach, agave and lemon water. These all mixed together for a smooth taste and hint of sweetness! It was packed with protein and kept me full. I had not heard of dead dog coffee before, but while I was waiting for my coffee I looked them up. The owners launched their company 8 years ago. It is a family owned company located locally. The coffee they roast is hand selected. They routinely donate to humane societies as their company was launched after adopting their rescued boston terrier, who is deaf. The company is deduced to bring awareness to other animals that have special needs Five percent of your purchase is being donated to a local humane society in your honor. As an animal lover, I think the above is cool. In regards to the coffee, I ordered a salted caramel + toasted marshmallow coffee. Omg!!!! So good!!! You could taste both flavors distinctively.
