They have an extensive menu and my dad and I ordered an omelette (my dad had a senior portion farmer's omelette that was huge and I had a 4-egg build your own omelette with cheese and bacon that was also huge) while my mom ordered the liver and onions. The omelettes came with hash browns and your choice of toast or pancakes. I chose toast because I knew the pancakes would be filling and I couldn't take any food home since we were going to Horrocks afterwards. My dad chose the pancakes and he got 2 large pancakes with his meal that could have been a meal by itself. My mom's food came with 2 sides but I can't remember what sides she had. All of us thought that the food was really good with big portions at decent prices. The large orange juice and large apple juice were $3.99 each ($7.98 for just the drinks) but our total bill was less than $50 for the 3 of us, before the tip. It was easy to understand why the restaurant was so packed. We had a great waitress named Tina who was very friendly and attentive and the service was just excellent. Even better, the other customers we talked to before we were seated and when we were in line to pay were friendly as well and that is rare. As I was standing in line to pay, Tina came and brought me the hand sanitizer I had left at the table. I have driven from Kalamazoo just to pick up Cracker Barrel in Battle Creek and Lux Cafe is worth that same drive.
