Incompetence and time-wasters…read more I bought from MCAS on many occasions, every purchase was unsatisfactory. I had to call them on multiple occasions to understand where my order was and wait weeks to see shipped items that they had in stock. The reason for this review is related to my last experience. I`ve called MCAS in Auburn to check if they had in stock, in the shop, a specific article (Dainese Scout 2 Gloves). They confirmed that they had it in stock and I agreed to go to the shop for the pick-up. After spending 45 minutes in the traffic and arrived in the store, MCAS staff told me that the item is in stock in the system but they don`t know where in the shop, inviting me to have a look (9.00 am - shop empty). After 20 minutes, begging for some help given the mess in the area where the gloves are exposed, they simply told me that the item is probably not available. Don`t get me wrong, it can happen, but if I link this experience to the previous ones is easy to understand when I think to MCAS is simple to associate the idea of "Incompetence and time-wasters". I will never buy again from them I will recommend doing so to all my friends... just avoid them.

Before purchasing, I tried on different helmets…read more- and 2 of my favorites for +/- 10min to see if it was truly a good fit (I've had helmet squeeze before from an expensive Shoei - not making that mistake again). I decided to double check their price against what I can buy online, and they were on par. When I purchased the helmet they gave me a discount I hadn't even asked for! Awesome. Came back for a back protector a week later. Also asked about chain locks and aftermarket tinted visors. They texted me when a shipment of "Forget About It NewYorker" chains arrived, and also notified me about tinted vidsors. Good service. I bought the visors, and will use them again. Mirrors are next on the list.

He brought the small out and it felt too small. I asked the guy to bring out a new medium because the one out was probably old and stretched out. He seemed annoyed but he brought it out. The new medium fit well and just before I was about to commit I asked the guy if they had any other colors that weren't on the shelf. The guy said they had a cream one so I asked if I could see it. He said he would, but he said he wasn't going to bring out millions of helmets to try on! I was beside myself and just told the guy nevermind and walked out. Needless to say I will never be back and went to Picture Me Rollin' in Surry Hills afterwards and got excellent service and a better helmet.

I got a 'fixie' or fixed gear bike, for about $350, which came with a lock, some lights, and a water bottle and some servicing I think. Anyway, it's been a fantastic bike so far, and it was nice that they threw in all the extras, even if they weren't the best quality. So if you're looking for a bike to get you around town and don't want to spend $1000, I'd give Reid's a look, they have all different styles of bikes, and the prices are pretty solid.
