I did 2 two self guided rides for a total of 100 miles (160k) that were just gorgeous! Prague country side is really set up for biking with clearly marked routes and trails. And since everyone seems to bike themselves, car drivers were very patient and respectful of bicycles on the few times I was using the same tarmac. Both my routes spent a lot of time on the river so it was really worth the effort to get up early and enjoy glistening sunshine on the water. This was such a fantastic time. This was probably our best day in Prague yet. We had Miki as our tour guide and he was so great! He was very conscious of all the riders in the group. Anytime anyone needed anything he made sure we got it. He even helped us order at the restaurant we stopped at. The bikes help you along so peddling is not a problem at all, even up-hill. They are partially motorized. EASY! I was just getting over a cold and it wasn't a problem at all. The definite highlight was the Kutna Hora (Bone) church although we ended up visiting a few churches. Lunch at Dacicky was very good. You had your choices from pork knuckle to Duck to Beef Cheeks & some vegetarian options. Our guide Brandon was awesome! He was very knowledgeable & had some great stories & took care of us. If you are lucky enough to get Brandon, make sure you get his Prague list of recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc. There were about 20 in the tour group and a second in Spanish tour group-so total about 40 on a coach bus. Bring your walking shoes as we walked to all the sites after we visited the church. ( & their is about a 15 minutes walk from Old town center to the bus) A great way to see some of the sites outside of Prague. Would highly recommend Brandon & Sandeman's.
