We visited last evening and ordered at the ice cream line, a single dip hot fudge sundae and a med shake. The young lady that was handling the ice cream orders seemed frazzled, but was very professional even though a local Karen came back, jumped the line and demanded her sundae and shake be re-made. Maybe it wasn't cold enough, with a Karen you can't tell. While I waited for the order my wife went to the store section and picked up milk, eggs and yogurt. She and two other patrons stood at the checkout counter waiting for over seven minutes. Despite waving for attention no one even acknowledged them. She finally called and asked for someone to check them out. A young man, full of attitude came over and performed the task. I would suggest they either provide a designated checker for the store or switch to a self-checkout solution. Even if they suffer shrinkage from those who have no scruples and morals, stealing from the self checkout, the loss would certainly be less impactful than the poor reputation earned from the apparent lack of customer service displayed last evening in the store section. I have never managed a retail establishment of this size, but I do know customer service and the lack thereof, primarily at the store counter. I still have it 4 stars, because the young lady at the ice cream counter, despite being understaffed and overwhelmed maintained a smile with every customer interaction.
