First of all, adorable building in a cute downtown. Loved all the exposed brick. One young man working when we arrived who was friendly and attentive. It looked like there are normally three flavors and then a few flavors of the day. Boy was it my lucky day because one of the daily flavors was Salty Caramel. I ordered a double scoop of that in a cone and it blew me away -- so much flavor and incredibly creamy. Husband loved the chocolate almond with crunchy almonds in it. In Raleigh we have Goodberry's custard and their salted caramel is delicious, but Abbott's just may be better. So glad we gave this place a try. The only thing I would add is a water dispenser to wash down that yumminess.

I couldn't find parking on the street so had to park a few lots over and cross several streets to get there with my two kids. The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful. It's always been a go-to spot, and the ice cream is consistently really good. The atmosphere is simple but classic, and it still has that small-town feel that makes it special. It's one of those places that hasn't lost its charm over the years. Only reason it's not a full 5 stars is because sometimes it can get a little busy or the experience isn't perfect every single time, but overall it's still a great spot and one I'll probably keep going to for a long time.

Ice cream shops are hard to find around here so this is a great find.

Andy's Frozen Custard should come with a warning label:…read more "May cause spontaneous happiness and the inability to stop thinking about dessert." I stopped by for a little frozen custard and somehow left feeling like I had just won the lottery. The custard was so creamy and delicious I briefly considered ordering a second one before I finished the first. The staff was friendly, the place was spotless, and every bite tasted like someone figured out how to freeze joy and serve it in a cup. There's a few sitting around the outside of the building. Most people just tailgate in the parking lot. My only regret is not discovering Andy's sooner. Now every other ice cream place has to compete with the unrealistic standards Andy's has set. If you're within driving distance, go. If you're not within driving distance, start driving anyway. 10/10. Five stars. Zero self-control. #FrozenCustardAddict #AndysIsDangerous #WorthEverySpoonful

We first discovered this place on my first Yelp Elite event, and we've been coming back ever since!…read more It has quickly become one of my wife and kids' favorite spots. We stopped in again Sunday, and even though the place was BUSY, the service was still top-notch. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Nobody gave off that "please don't ask me another question" busy-day energy. This time we tried the sampler with four different ice cream flavors, which is perfect when your brain says, "Just pick one," but your stomach says, "Why limit ourselves?" And then came the funniest part of the visit. She told us one of the flavors was caramelized pineapple... and somehow I heard Spider-Man. LOL. I have absolutely no idea how my brain got from caramelized pineapple to Spider-Man, but once I said it, the whole family lost it. We were all cracking up. So now, whether they like it or not, that flavor will probably forever be known as "the Spider-Man ice cream" in our house. LOL. Of course, we also had to get the Sunny Mango again. That drink is AMAZING and has officially become one of our must-orders. My daughter went with the birthday cake ice cream in a waffle cone and absolutely loved it. Great treats, great atmosphere, and even better people. The fact that they handled a busy Sunday this well says a lot. What started as a Yelp Elite visit has turned into one of our family's favorite places. 10/10 -- we'll definitely be back... and I'll try to listen a little harder next time they tell me the ice cream flavors. LOL.
