I've been to the Olathe location three times and have received fairly consistent results. I can agree with some of the other reviews about the drinks sometimes not being offered or water/coffee being offered instead of an adult beverage. In my cases it depends on what time of day my appointment was. If I have a haircut in the morning, they won't offer me a beer. I can tell my stylist is new to the game but still takes time to listen, which is why I stick with the same one. The shop is clean and the music (at my location, at least) has been a rotation of all genres. I've made feedback on Google Reviews and gotten good responses from the ownership. I have high hopes for this place and will continue to go there. read more

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the price? Also yes. Scissors and Scotch is the type of experience every guy, or gal, should experience at least once. I personally always have issues trying new things out and Anna sat down with me, asked me questions, figured out exactly what I wanted, gave me tips on how to keep things good, and worked with me from the start to the end of the entire process. While I couldn't personally agree to the price of the monthly membership as my hair just doesn't grow that fast nor do I maintain it that much if you are the type to get monthly haircuts or touchups it is definitely worth it. read more

I had a great time! Zach took really good care of me and provided me with an excellent fade! He made sure that all my questions were answered and gave me details on how to take full advantage of S&S's offerings and maximize my savings. He made me feel valued as a client and I will definitely be going back as a member twice a month for the ten year or fifteen year twoce a month and a facial hair sculpt once a month. My husband has been going to S & S for about a year now. Every time he comes home, he just raves about his haircut and his experience! For several years, he just buzzed his own hair. After going to S&S, he looks so much different (and more handsome ) I have gone to several appointments with him and enjoyed some drinks at the bar while I waited. I scheduled an appointment online before they opened on a week day, got in by noon. I've had hot towels and straight razors on neck line with a hair cut and shampoo but nothing like what Scissors & Scotch offers. They start by washing your hair and a scalp massage. After the hair cut and neck shave it was very relaxing facial massage, hot towels, cleaner and conditioner. After that they have lounge/bar you get one free drink. Skip out on those generic shops and check this place out. First time in the shop and I had a great experience. Zach was my barber and he did a great job, he listened to my requests and had no problem with my critiques. Loved the space and enjoyed the conversation. Gonna become a member next time and I encourage everyone to stop in who is looking for good craftsmanship and a chill environment!
