I just moved to town and needed a new barber. Mike's was the first place I went to that was actually taking walk-ins which was incredibly convenient. Both barbers working at the time were extremely welcoming and the overall experience was great! All of the signs up in the walls and sports memorabilia was really cool. My haircut was quick and easy, she cut my hair exactly how I asked and made great conversation the entire time as well. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Clean shop, friendly vibe, and very pleasant staff. Prices are decent and fair. You can tell Mike's Barber knows their clientele and keeps things realistic -- just good service and great cuts. Highly recommend. read more

I've been to three different master barbers across the US in my lifetime, and this shop outdid them all. Best cut I've ever gotten, hands down. Isaiah was my barber and was great; really nice guy, easy to talk to, understood exactly what I wanted and delivered it. I was watching the cuts from one of the other barbers and those looked excellent as well. Shop has a good vibe to it, and prices were reasonable. If you go somewhere else, you'll miss out. This is the shop for you. read more

Was recommended this location by some friends. Megan gave my 10 month old his first haircut and was so patient and quick with him. It looked great! Super chill, helpful, and friendly place. Megan + Isaiah both, . read more

I needed a hair and as I looked in Yelp for assistance, usually has a few good places reviewed. I found Mike's Barber shop in Olathe. What a pleasant surprise, a little nostalgic looking with pictures and posters from Olathe's forgotten years and a little Chiefs support for a big Patrick Mahonés life size poster. The experience was great and I got one of my best cuts in a while. Found my new place to be for a haircut. Go see it for yourself. read more

Well, i put off a clean shave as long as I could and wasn't gonna let GC or SC touch me with a razor! Found Mike's in downtown Olathe with my first pick and I'm a regular now after one trip. Isaiah got me looking tight with the top and my beard, quick, super friendly, and less than what I thought I'd spend. It's a good place with good people. Stop looking now, here's the place! Thanks guys! Dan S. read more

I walked in with a part on one side and walked out with a buzz cut. Uneven and long hairs everywhere. I might as well shave it off. This is great. I look like crap. Go somewhere else. read more

Awesome Barbarshop! Great staff with years of experience. Could not be happier. Thank you

My first there and it was superb. Nice sunny shop, 3 chairs, I had no wait. Megan was my barber, had a nice chat. Senior discount was nice. Cash or check preferred over credit card, no biggie. Lots of free parking at front door, and convenient to all county offices two blocks over, too. read more

I just moved to KC from SoCal a couple months ago. I was in need of a haircut and found Mike's online. Boy am I glad that I did! I have gone there twice now and have gotten an amazing haircut (from Megan) both times! I must say, I got so luck to have found a great barber on my first attempt. These things usually take some time when you move to a new city, but after two amazing cuts here I can say Megan is great at what she does, and is consistent, friendly, and true to her craft. The shop is exactly what I was looking for. A real Men's barber shop and not a chain. The place just feels cool. It's the old school place men go to get a trim and shoot the $hit. Both times I was in there were a couple of the locals just hanging out. Mike seems very nice and friendly, and runs a great shop. But this review is more about Megan because she is who I have seen both times I've been in and who I will always try to get from now on. She just cut my hair so well both times! She knows how my hair lies a little funny on the back with my cow lick but seems to get it cut perfectly. Moreover, the cut holds up very well over a month or so. Heck, I could let it go longer, but I just like to keep it trim tight when I have the time to do so. But, her cut is so good I could let it go 1.5 months if I had to. Anyway, I am just so happy to have found this place, and on my first try of a new place in a new town! Go Mike's barber shop!!!! You guys (and gal) keep up the great work! read more

Fast, friendly service Mike was super friendly greeted me as I walked in. I felt welcome and his prices were fair.

I have had a military style haircut for 20 years. As such, I've cut my own hair with clippers and had no need for a barber. I decided to grow my hair out for the first time since cutting it short so many years ago. I went to my wife's salon to have it cut the first time. It was a good haircut, but i never really felt "at home". I wanted a good ol' fashioned barber shop. After reading the online reviews of Mike's, I decided to give them a try. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Megan, who invited me into the chair for my haircut. I enjoyed the banter with the other customers, along with Megan and Kevin (the barbers). Before I knew it, my haircut was completed and to be honest, I couldn't be more pleased. It is by far the best haircut I've received in 49 years. I would highly recommend Mike's and Megan, specifically. Absolutely FANTASTIC job! read more

I've been taking my son here for a few months and I couldn't be happier. The atmosphere is very friendly! Megan is the person who cuts my sons hair and she is fantastic! She does what you want and also gives great hairstyling advice. My son walks out of there looking handsome! read more
