The vibe is Balinese which threw me off-- Im used to a Scandi vibe everywhere Ive stayed in the city. The all organic delish breakfasts. The bedding and fabrics in the room are also organic! Its soo fun to stay here, theres a sauna with massage services, there are Vespas in random parts of the buildings and courtyard and staff wear Indonesian style uniforms. Inside the room, every detail was well planned and designed for practical functional use. I was sooo into the heated bathroom floor, I made a point to go without slippers. :) The small hotel bar/resto hosts serves superr delicious food and drink, ask for Franco. The sauna was amazing and got very hot, and we really enjoyed getting to use the cold plunge in between sauna sessions. There's also a steam room, infrared sauna, and jacuzzi. I also tried the mud mask and coffee scrub at the spa. We got a spa tote that included robes and flip flops, so no need to pack your own. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well and had a variety of options. The room was nicely decorated, bed was comfy, heater worked well during the winter, and there were amenities that we weren't expecting (toothbrush, toothpaste tablet, etc). I'd definitely stay at a Guldsmeden hotel again!

The bonus points is that it is steps away (literally just outside) to the metro and only a short 30 minute ride to the airport (via metro) and only a few minutes away from the city. The property is beautiful and the breakfast is phenomenal- perhaps my favourite part of my stay here. Staff are friendly, welcoming and the check in process was quick. I was able to leave my luggage here and take the metro to the city (only 7 minutes to the main station). If I wanted, I could've paid an extra fee to check in earlier too and get a bigger room but I decided not to. The room was quite small, yet comfortable and nice. The washroom was also nice and I really appreciated the cleanliness of both the room and the facility itself. I love the design of the place, and the breakfast area. I love the concept of juice on tap. The juice selection was top notch. I also enjoyed the wide selection of breads, pastries and a good mix of savoury and sweets for breakfast. Breakfast is at an additional fee but if you book in advance when booking your room, it may be cheaper than getting it once you arrive. Wifi worked well and was fast. I would recommend and stay here again if I'm ever in Copenhagen. For the price though, it's a bit high but convenience and cleanliness is what I was looking for, and I got both. The next morning, I only had to walk a short distance to get to the free shuttle bus that takes you to the cruise port.

Our room, 401, had a small sitting area with windows on two sides (corner room) along with a king bed. As is typical, despite the hefty price tag of around $700/night, the room was pretty small as was the bathroom. We enjoyed the view of the canal and "kissing bridge" bustling with biking commuters and found the location to be perfect for our needs-adjacent to the busy section of bars but at the far end just outside of all the crowds and activities. Personally the bed was a bit soft for me but was enjoyed by my wife. The bathroom was maybe 8 square meters with a phone booth sized shower and single sink and not an inch of extra space, again typical of Denmark. An ample buffet breakfast was included in our rate and we also dined at the hotel's Italian restaurant one evening. We enjoyed our stay and the warm helpful staff. Recommended
