On my first visit for a wart removal Dr Glossier seemed kind and attentive (despite bringing in 3 other doctors without alerting me). Second visit to handle the ineffective first treatment was like something out of a horror movie. 6am appointment. Packed waiting room. Waited 45 minutes to get to an exam room. Glossier walks in, picks up a can of wart-off freeze and aims for my forehead without even a word. I had to yell "wait!" before he even thought to speak with me. Eff this. Horrible place. He's a pox on the practice of dermatology. Also not a good sign when the doctor has acne craters deeper than his empathy. read more

Dr. Groisser is an extremely unique doctor! He's so caring and sincere, and even offers his cell phone in case you have any concerns. I had something removed from my neck and he and his amazing team were there for me throughout the entire process. He's helped me with a few other concerns, and every time, I've felt totally confident in how he guides me and helps me understand my diagnosis. Every time I see him, the fact that I might have waited a bit in the waiting room goes right out the window! He has that ability to make you feel completely seen and heard and that's just one of his many gifts. I would highly recommend him. He's extremely knowledgeable, very thorough and won't stop until you are healed and happy! Bonus: The staff is awesome! read more

This is a shoddily-run McDermatology franchise that is blatant about its profit-before-patients model. I went for very minor skin complaint and I'm appalled. I can't imagine trusting this place with something requiring more serious medical attention. Appointments are rushed, but I can deal with that because my issue was minor. My problems began when I needed to follow up with them. Good luck contacting these people. They use a communication app that isn't compatible with all phones -- phones that are compatible with every other app in existence -- and if it's not compatible with yours, your office is virtually unreachable. There's no patient portal accessible via computer and no phone number to the office, just a cell phone app that not all phones can access. So you call. When you call the number provided, you first communicate with an AI robot who understands maybe two key phrases. Then your phone call is routed to an offshore call center. That's when the real fun begins. The call center operators will blatantly fabricate answers on the fly in order to get you off the phone. They'll tell you your prescription has already been processed while you're looking at your pharmacy account which clearly indicates that the prescription is pending further action from your practitioner, a practitioner you can't contact because of the app you can't use and the office you can't contact directly by phone. They'll tell you that someone from the actual office will call you back. Days pass. The call never comes. So you call the call center again, and the whole fiasco repeats. These call center operators don't care if you don't get the medical care you need, and why would they? They don't work for Schweiger Dermatology. They work for an Amazon-style call center 8,000 miles away. Your potentially-serious medical complaints in need of potentially-serious medication may as well be a broken lamp to them. So after many wasted hours and days and still no medication - which again, isn't serious for me, but it MAY be for you if your condition is more serious than mine - you give up and you find a new dermatologist. But not before joining the chorus of other horrified former patients calling Schweiger Dermatology a profit-driven, corner-cutting scam masquerading as healthcare. Which is all it is. read more

Check Yelp and Google reviews and the concern that most voices over would be of the unbelievably long waiting time at this location, even when you have got an appointment and I was no exception to that. I had developed a wart on one of my toes and got an appointment with Dr.Groisser before the Holidays. The clinic looked very clean and was following the COVID safety protocols very seriously. The person at the frontdesk checked my temperature and asked me and my wife to wait in the car parking as they had limited space for people to sit at the lobby. She also instructed that only I can enter the clinic, being the patient and they allow people to accompany only if the patient is a minor, which was fair enough. We waited for almost 45 minutes in the car though we had a scheduled appointment and had to inform our offices that we were going to be late to work. After the front desk informed me over phone that it was time for the Doctor to see me, it went into the OP room and the waiting game started again. The doctor took 20 minutes to arrive and after taking a quick look, confirmed it was a Wart, prescribed me an ointment and asked me to come back in a week's time for the removal procedure. Again the same game of appointment booking, waiting in the car for more than 30 minutes even after arriving ahead of the scheduled time and again waiting for the Doctor in the OP room for more than 20 minutes. The Dr arrived, took out few anesthetic injections, shot them right on the wart and when I flinched, he reminded me "Take it like a Man" and as soon it numbed, he shaved it off with a blade. Though I couldn't immediately feel the pain, the sight of blood oozing out non stop wasn't that great and he only applied a bandaid on top of it and before I could ask him questions, he asked me to again come back in 2 weeks and left like a lightning and my wart was taken for a lab test to confirm what type of infection it was. The wound took time to heal and it was a painful 2 weeks of healing time. Again it was time for the third visit and I'm not going to bore you with the series of happenings as nothing changed. Now, Dr.Groisser is like a celebrity, you pay so much to get his divine sighting and service and before you could realize he appeared before you, he disappears instantly. He checked my wound, confirmed it was healing, applied a short spray of liquid nitrogen over it that costs a luxury ($225) and again left before I could ask him questions. The wart has healed now but I refused to take up the 4th consultation that I was asked to take as I wasn't prepared to spend $145 just for him to take a 3 second look at my toes to confirm there is no wart anymore. I'm still following up with the clinic for having charged me for a service that I wasn't informed about. The nurse who attends the patients, one who lets the patients in and the one who schedules the appointments are all doing a great job, but my serious concerns with this place has been the poor scheduling service of this group, with no sense or respect for the patient's time and the 0 humane handling of a doctor. We are humans who need to be shown at least an iota of empathy or care and not be treated like machines in a lab. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I went for a routine check on some dry scalp issues. I had an appointment for 10am. When I walked in it was like an ER on a Saturday night at 3am. People standing waiting to be seen. Place was packed. I waited over an hour and a half. About an hour in I asked why I have an appointment but have to wait and the guy at the desk responds "this is the way it's been lately".. not sorry we over booked appointments. About 6 people left without being seen while I was there. Awful. When I did get seen by the nurse she asked me what was up and asked if I wanted anything else checked. I replied no. I waited about 5 minutes before the doctor came in. He asked me to remove my t shirt. I said but I'm head for my head and skin under my facial hair. He said I know, just remove your shirt. He proceeded to mark up moles on me and told me they had to be removed. I said I wasn't there for that, he said "yeah but they're abnormal shape and could be cancerous, I'm good at this, it's why I'm busy." Awful experience. read more

I had an appointment here yesterday with Lisa Endanattu and honestly the experience was wonderful. She listened to all my concerns I had written down, she explained everything in a detailed but easy way to digest. The medical assistant in the room was also nice and respectful offering garments to cloth myself if needed. And they provided me with a some creams onsite to help minor problems I had. The meeting was very quick and efficient. So I am not sure why the reviews are mainly low here. But yea, I would recommend going if you need to be seen. The receptionist was also very nice. I have to give people a heads up, if you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled time (this is the grace period) you may or may not have to get your appointment rescheduled to a later date. Which is understandable they see many patients in this clinic and wouldn't want to mess up the appointments of other patients, the same happens at my job. So all in all nice work on the team will be seeing them soon for my follow-up I do want to add about the calling the office issues. It is true there is an AI robot that speaks to you about your appointment whether making them or cancelling. Which can get annoying because it may not understand everything you want. However when I asked to speak to a representative repeatedly I was then transferred over to someone that was able to make the new appointment for me. I also called my pharmacy right after my appointment to see if the order had been received and it had so I was able to pick up my prescription same day. INSURANCE FRAUD...... Watch this place. I had an appointment with Maria (blocked out her last name) NP. She found two suspicious moles. Made an appointment to have them taken out.... she calls in sick. Fine. Made another appointment took the day off AGAIN and I go in and she says 'Oh we don't do excisions today'. Called up AGAIN to make an appointment, went over and over with the scheduler that this was an excision. Took a third day off of work, went in and again after waiting for her to finish her lunch she comes in to the room and says, "oh I don't have time to do this today, they should not have booked you for this today". Then they had the cojones to bill $240 and a $30 copay for NOTHING. NO SERVICES WERE RENDERED. I went into the office and explained to them (BEING THAT I AM A PROVIDER MYSELF) that what they did was insurance fraud, illegal, and immoral. They made me wait over a half an hour for a random woman to come out and tell me they were going to escalate the issue. I think they escalated the issue into the garbage because I never heard from them again. I wish I had read the reviews before I had come to this disgusting place. I can not believe they are still in business. This place is FOUL and the people that work in the Nutley office are FOUL. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

I went here for a routine checkup and they found some skin issues due to the sun. I was directed to the Dr. upstairs who stated I needed a procedure to remove the skin cancer. The day of the procedure the assistant who brought me in seemed confused as to what I was there for, it's 630 in the morning and the place is busier than the local bakery on a Sunday morning and of course I'm skeptical about being cut. She's unfamiliar with the electronic device she's holding with my info and again seems confused. I tell her disregard, and I leave the place without the procedure and glad I did. I think they overbook and run people through like they're on an assembly line, not warm, not empathetic and just want to get onto the next patient. read more

I did not like this place! I went there to have some skin tags cut off my face. I felt rushed- almost like I was in a factory. The nurse as well as the doctor were hung up on the fact that I had to do a full body scan. I told them no. That wasn't the reason that I was there and they didn't like that answer. I'm sorry but I am the patient and I will dictate what happens during my appointment and if I choose not to disrobe and subject myself to a full body scan, that is my right as the patient! So I almost stopped going to this place because of my previous experiences. The waiting room is always packed, it feels very much like a factory, and I'd always been rushed through my appointments. I wanted to find another derm but my annual checkup was coming up so I figured I'd go one last time to supplement me until I found a new doctor. By some miracle a PA, Anne, was available instead of the male doctor I usually saw. I didn't even know there were other options! I'm so so so glad I went one last time to see Anne, she was the total opposite of the other doctor - warm, listened, great bedside manner. I felt heard and she gave me a solution that WORKED first try as well as recommended a cost effective OTC equivalent if insurance didn't cover enough of the script. She was professional, friendly, and just gave the absolute best patient experience! Anne gets 5 stars, the 4 is considering the general office. Doctor Groisser Botched a simple Lipoma Removal in 2020. His pinch and stitch work left me with a huge ugly scar. I had to seek a plastic surgeon's advice to try to correct it. Dr. Groisser also left a quarter of the lipoma under my skin. He has A horrible bedside manner at least with women. He treats people like cattle in and out in five minutes. It's all about how much money he can make. I can only say that the nurses are nice. read more

I had an appointment for 1pm and had to wait almost an hour even though I made sure to come in early to check in as a precaution. After 40 minutes of waiting I finally touched base to see what was going on and they said I had one more person ahead of me. After I stood there obviously speechless, then finally said they were "a little" behind even though they had two doctors here and were short staffed. I'm sorry but if you knew you were short staffed, as a doctors office they should call patients to give them the heads up and ask if they'd like to reschedule. The Paramus location is much nicer and quicker. Also it really bugs me how they are enforcing mask wearing, limited people in the waiting room, etc. (which is amazing!!), but one of their doctors is wearing his mask down completely under his chin??? Worth the wait. First time I went I waited over an hour and people who came after me went before me. Found out that there were PAs that were also taking patients. Next time I scheduled for 6am and arrived at 545 and was the third patient. I was done by 630. Third appointment was for 6am and I arrived at 535 and was the first one to be seen. I was done at 617am. I am psoriasis free for the first time in 42 years. Thank you Dr. Groisser. He's all about business and must keep up a fast pace to handle all the patients but will answer your questions and spend the time necessary. read more

If you don't mind a 1-2 hour wait and a 2 minute visit with the doctor for whatever copay you have to pay, it's fine. Dr. G is nice and will diagnose you with something without a test. He also fat shames. So if that works for you, he's a great one to add to your repertoire. They did have a really good NP there for a while but she left. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. I've seen Dr. Groisser for the past three years and he's treated facial eczema, scalp eczema, and acne. He's incredible. I barely need to tell him what's wrong and he diagnoses the problem and provides me with a prescription. I also have pretty sensitive skin and when one of the medications doesn't work, he very easily provides a replacement. I'm never disappointed when I leave his office. I will warn you that sometimes the wait is terrible. I've spent over an hour waiting for an appointment. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it's something that I'm always cognizant of before heading to my appointment. Nonetheless, I highly recommend. read more

Horrific experience! I waited over an hour to be seen. Dr. Groisser comes in clearly in a rush, asks me one question (where do I work-- which really does not have relevance to the issue that was at hand), barely looks at me, tells the nurse to order me a cream and then LITERALLY with one foot out the door asks if I have any other questions. As I'm standing there baffled and confused at the behavior and lack of professionalism, I try to ask about a recent medication change that I had that may have affected my issue. Without even listening to my reasoning or explanation he says "no that's not it. It's your mask" and proceeds to wave his hand in a "hurry up" gesture to me. (NEWSFLASH: COVID IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING!) He leaves to get me samples of the cream and comes back (I'm still baffled), and I ask why this has to do with my mask because I've been wearing it for a year and haven't had issues like this with my skin. (Hence my prior question about my medication change AND my confusion as to why he didn't ask anything about my lifestyle or surroundings with my skin issue.) He mumbles something under his mask and I barely hear him, then he's out the door again. I wait outside for a follow up appointment. The 2 receptionists are busy checking people in instead of getting people out the door. There were 2 people behind me. I would think the point of 2 receptionists would be 1 for check in and 1 for check out, but hey I'm just using common sense here. When I called the office for the appointment, the voicemail said the office was open until 5:30pm. When I asked if there were appointments after 4:00pm, I was told no. Well... which is it then? Why is your information inconsistent!? I received a phone call from the pharmacy stating that the cream he ordered would cost me close to $100 with my insurance. There is no generic and I have not heard back about whether my request for a different cream was confirmed. I felt extremely unheard and like just another paycheck for him rather than a patient. I felt he made a very big and generic assumption (because of the place I work) that my mask was the problem, when in fact, where I work, I do not need to wear it all the time due to proper social distancing and having my own office space. I did not appreciate waiting for over an hour and then being told to hurry up. The lateness was YOUR fault Dr. Groisser, NOT MINE! (In fact, I was 15 minutes early for my appointment AND had to leave work for this appointment.) I will be canceling my follow-up appointment as this was a horrible experience even after a family member had gone to him a few months ago and had a great experience. From what I have heard from some others, this is a regular occurance at his office. He should be ashamed about how he treats his patients. I've been a patient of Dr. Groisser's for over a decade and have always been happy with his attention and expertise. I understand that others are unhappy about the wait, and I get that. But I have never visited a doctor in NJ where I have had a wait of less than 20 minutes and frequently 30 or more. I have learned to bring a book and be patient. If the doctor discovers that a prior patient requires more time than had been scheduled, that naturally pushes everyone back. I have waited in same-day surgery well over an hour past the scheduled time because there was an unexpected complication with the prior patient. It is very hard to be a service provider these days. Many people have unrealistic expectations. And to Ketan's point, this is a medical practice, not a restaurant where you can wait at the bar. Finally, Dr. Groisser will make an appointment with a relatively short notice. I know of another local Dermatologist who books appointments 6 weeks out...and is only a fair diagnostician! Dr. Groisser is highly competent and an excellent diagnostician. Well worth the wait. read more

Just like others have stated, the wait time is horrible. I had a 10:30 appointment. I was not seen until 11:40. I was there to have one thing checked on my face. Dr. Groisser came in and demanded I grt undressed for a full body scan. I told him when I made the appointment, I did not request that. He got pretty nasty with me and said it's a scan or nothing at all. I am glad there was someone else in the room with me cause I did not feel comfortable at that point. He then implied that the wait time is because he is the "best at what he does". At the very end of the appointment, he then brought up my eyes saying I should see endocrinologist cause we they appear to be bulging. He is not my primary and shouldn't be his issue. I recently had my first visit with Dr. Groissier. There was quite a long wait however that is what I have come to expect of dermatologist's offices. Let me start by saying that I will likely never go back to see this doctor. He was somewhat arrogant and rude. When I made the appointment, I was asked whether it was for a full body scan or just a particular area. I explained that I did NOT need a full body scan but was only concerned about a small growth on my arm. She made the appointment for me. Upon being taken into the office I was abruptly told by the medical assistant that I would be getting a full body scan today. It was not given to me as a choice. It is condescending and demeaning to disregard a patient's specific request for care and to demand that a full-grown adult submit to an examination that was not needed or wanted. Dr. Groisser's actual body scan was a whirlwind. He quickly treated the growth on my arm with a treatment that was unfamiliar to me and not explained well at all. He then prescribed to me medications without fully explaining what exactly I could expect them to do or for how long I was to use them. He then stated that I will return in 2 weeks for him to remove skin tags which were not of any real concern to me to begin with. At one point I told him that I was having a hard time following what he was saying because he was speaking so quickly and he had the nerve to tell me "maybe you just listen too slowly." It did not seem to be a mild joke. It was offensive. I have never experienced such rude behavior from a doctor. I almost never write bad reviews on physicians. I realize they are very busy and can be under a lot of stress. But I had to send this review this time to let other people who may be considering going to this doctor to know what to expect. I only wish that I had been more thorough in searching for reviews on Dr. Groisser myself. Then I could have saved my time, money and dignity by not stepping foot inside Dr. Groisser's office. Being a good physician requires more than having a degree and head knowledge. A good doctor should make a patient feel like a human, and not like just another patient. read more

As far as making your patients feel heard, attended to, and at ease, Dr. Groisser along with the rest of the staff of The Dermatology Group do an excellent job of providing you with high-quality medical care. I've had atopic dermatitis and other skin ailments for life, and Dr. Groisser very effectively and efficiently diagnosed my current ailment and was quick to resolve any of my queries and concerns. Yes, you may have to wait a little beyond your appointment time, but nothing longer than an average wait time at any medical practice in NJ. If anything, it is a sign of the quality of care that Dr. Groisser provides. Additionally, the location is easily accessible and parking is readily available. I have tried calling the Nutley office and the phone doesn't ring when I call a different office for Dr. Groisser the phone disconnects. I am writing this post because I have a situation and not sure what to do, Dr. Groisser worked on my back and removed what was there and told me it was not cancer.. however for the last week now my back has been in a lot of pain and not sure what to do, I tried Icy Hot patches and the Icy Hot Gel and neither one of them is helping. Made an appointment to see Dr. Groisser 7 am because the late hours are booked out too far in advance. Got to office at 6:45 patient lobby full already. Waited 40 minutes then asked when I would be seen next, only to be told three other patients were first. I left. If you know you are not going to call patient with 20 minutes why are you over booking? Its terrible to make someone wait over an hour for an appointment.
