To the worker that took my order today was very unprofessional the only reason for this is that he was chewing his gum and it was very disturbing just to know how this is aloud in the restaurant. I absolutely love Krautburgers! I love mom and pop shops!!! I came here and purchased 4 for $35 bucks. That's $8.75 each (Jalapeño cheese). I find this price to be extremely high considering the price was always $5.75. That is reasonable. I understand inflation but I have to say I won't ever buy here again. I make my own and they are delicious! I would have given 5 stars but these are overpriced and not worth it in my opinion. read more

The place has gone downhill since they expanded the menu. Went yesterday and ordered 4 hot cheese and 2 plain. They were all plain. 1 plain barely had any cabbage. Only put one star, cause I had to. This place was so dirty!! It was gross!!! Looked like the tables had not been cleaned all day, the soda are was horrible. I think the sole to my shoe is still there!! I used to go to the one in Evans and it always looked so clean. The krautburgers did nit even seem the same. They were a little in the doughy side. I got a jalapeño cheese and there was so much cheese it was, not good at all. Sad thing is, they were not even busy!!! So they could have been cleaning!!! If you want bland food, this is your place! I bake a bunch so it was really baffling. We ordered lunch here in New years eve. Well, my lunch didn't make it. I ordered a brat, and someone forgot to put it in the bag. I really wanted this place to be great, but it was a huge let down. The cold potato salad was also very bland. I tried to eat it twice and I couldn't finish it. The kugan (coffee cake) was like a bland dough with a bland sauce on top. I'm still very confused by it. Howdy y'all. First off, these are not what I consider Bierocks - Based on the more traditional German foods I have eaten in Kansas for the last 23 years. These are very much a one of a kind meal. Somehow the Russian and German Schwartz's came up with a modified Bierock that is just amazing. This is one of my all time favorite places, just a "new" second location. I can't speak on any poor service that others had problems with, I've never had an issue. But, I also talk to people in there and I think that is a game changer. I started eating Krautburgers from them back when they first opened in 1988 - down in Evans. My personal favorite is the hot with cheese. Now days, they call it Jalapeños and cheese (Velveeta). The meat is a blend of beef and pork that's cooked with the cabbage and some spices. And, unlike that place down in Brighton, theirs has a good flavor. They are pretty good sized too. I can eat two of them if I'm really hungry. I say, don't order just one, you may be bummed out later on. Looking for some desert or a munchie for that morning coffee??? They have some monster sized cinnamon rolls and lightly sugar coated twisted bread - which, I can't remember what they are called right now. Neither one of the deserts are super sweet. It's nice to be able to eat a cinnamon roll and not suffer from sugar overdose. Lol. Bottom line. You may have tried something somewhere else that sounds like these. Walked in for a quick meal. Guy behind counter ignored me at first the said wait a minute, then walked to the back. Another employee walked up an told me they were out of krautburgers. If they are out of product they should just lock the front door. I've had bad service at this location before so I wont be back. Go to the store in Evans for better service. read more

Great kraut burger! Price was just right, clean and very friendly location. Local business and local flavor always gets my support. It's German Fast Food! Burgers are unique, delicious and something different for a fast meal. Everything here tastes and feels homemade. The "burgers" are their mix of ingredients cooked inside of their dough, a little like a home made hamburger pizza pocket. The authentic German sides are great too.
