Blurry shot of the menu (damn neon signs)

Schwartz Bros is decent, but it's nothing to write home about. If Bath truly is a two-burger town, I think one of them skipped out while no one was looking. My biggest gripe is it's clear these are frozen, pre-formed patties. As a result, even a bit of char and some quality cheese and garlic can't mask the uniform grey and chewy, almost sponge-like texture. Also, the fries are as plain as shredded wheat. I really wanted to love Schwartz Bros, and the ambiance of the place is certainly spot-on with a quality burger joint. But you're probably just better off going to McDonalds.

Best burgers ever. There, I said it. Whether you're a full-on beef lover, a veggie, or chicken's more your thing - you're certain to find a combo in here that wets your appetite. There are loads of sauce options to adorn your chosen filling with - the blue cheese sauce is absolutely amazing, well worth trying out. You'll be paying slightly more than you might expect at the average burger takeaway, but then these are not your average burgers and in my opinion it's well worth it. If you're out in Bath and you've got the munchies, Schwartz Bros is definitely the place to go.

Best burger bar in Bath. Watch as your food is prepared in front of you. Veggie options are available.

Ok, I admit it. You can get a great Burrito in England. And if you will buy the five pound, as in weight, burrito, you get a certificate and a black Tee Shirt that says you ate the whole thing. Must be Huge. I could barely finish the large. ;).

The line moves super quickly (it'a one of those build-your-own places, like just walk up to the glass case of food and choose your dish, your fillings, your extras, and they slap it all together right in front of you) despite a queue, so there's that. Unfortunately, the people who work here aren't exactly the friendliest people in the world... but they do roll a mean burrito (which I prefer over a friendly person who rolls a loose burrito where all the guts fall out of the bottom on the first bite). I went with a large burrito (yes, they offer "small" and "large"), which is a standard sized burrito back in the States, and asked if I could get their special - black bean and butternut squash chipotle chili - as my filling. The No-Nonsense Burrito Maker warned that it would be too wet, but I like to live dangerously so I went with that and extras like lettuce (no charge), sour cream (no charge), cheese (extra charge), and guacamole (double charge because I asked for more then she put on). Total price? £15. Oof. Definitely the most money I've spent on a burrito. And was it filling? Yes. Did it help sop up the gin in my system? Definitely. But was it flavorful? Not really. The majority of the burrito ended up being rice - I guess I didn't realize how much she had put on, but every bite was dominated by it. If I could do it all over again, I would ask for no rice - weird I know, but that way I could actually taste the flavors of the other ingredients I got charged for!
