They are top-notch in billing hours and making excuses for depositions, extra discovery, long-winded questions requiring long-winded answers because at the end of the day Paul Shaw only appears about charging clients as much as possible. Incredibly condescending and unprofessional who charges quite a steep rate to his clients. If you are looking for REAL legal support in your moment of need I would encourage you to go elsewhere because the only thing you are going to receive from Paul Shaw is a massive legal bill. With all the attorneys in the Birmingham area, there are much much better options for representation in family law. And do not believe any of the "Best Lawyers in BHM" stuff that Paul Shaw seems to always be apart of when they are published. Those are merely paid advertisements. He certainly isn't the best, nowhere near it. And for what you pay for his representation you could do much better.

I felt that billing was fair and consistent and I wasn't nickled-and-dimed. The firm was well worth every dollar spent. In the end, I was well represented and recommend the firm without any hesitation.

I Hired Bahakel & Associates back in April 2018 to continue representing me in a gruesome divorce case that started in 2017. I must say, Mr. Phillip Bahakel is very knowledgeable at law and speaks it very well in which I admit convinced me to hire him. Upon my initial consultation with Mr. Phillip he was able to point out several issues that my previous attorney made. I went to Mr. Phillip in desperate need of good representation. I didn't have the fund to afford Mr. Phillip, but my family listened at how a bragged on him and his exceptional knowledge and experience in family law so they paid Mr. Phillip for me................ (Excluded) Mr. Phillip didn't get 2 stars by accident, he got an additional star for how well he fooled and played me for 10 months, such an amazing character that makes you feel like he's so compassionate.
