Whether you have a standing appointment or need to come in for immediate care, you will be accommodated and well taken care of. Dr. Kobren and the group here are part of NYU Langone Medical and they are well equipped to handle your PCP needs. They also do great with cardiac care. Their equipment is top notch and most of the testing you need for basic, non-emergency care can be handled right on the building. They share the floor with dentists Drs. Lawrence Kobren and Michael Greenbaum and the shared waiting area has been completely renovated and remodeled not too long ago. It is very attractive and clean and can accommodate plenty of patients. You can also watch a little TV to make your wait time pass a little quicker and more enjoyably.

My findings today, at 611 Northern Blvd, there is a huge park and lock/ parking lot and I believe they have a lot underneath I saw it when I drove past the aisle that I meant to turn into. I found out that they have two elevator entrances on both sides of the building. Going inside to the doctor's office, there's a glass entrance as you enter the suite you walk to check-in there's 5 windows numbered and marked with the doctor's name , a chart in the front to direct you to which window that coincides with each doctor. It seems well organized. A huge spacious waiting area is provided with a few high top seating, a double seater, and a lot of single chairs. The aesthetics are, as any doctor's office; you know, a bunch of medical docs (no pun intended, but it just happened) and brochures as well as advertisement. I had a pleasant visit from check in to check out. Dr. Danoff was jovial and I did appreciate that. It was great humor with eye contact. My visit was for joint issues. Dr. Danoff was every thorough with providing detailed information and I did feel comfortable seeing him. I've heard that he was a really good doctor, first impression... So far so good! We are not knocking the doctor or the nurses. But the outpatient desk. Very very rude and unprofessional. When we check in on the second visit we started to notice how poorly their interaction with the patients. But today was worse, all these front desk people are like a gang. In front of us, the lady who checked us in at there desk openly saying loudly check to outpatient desk, "see if they have co-paid" and watching us with an attitude, while we wait for our follow up. And the outpatient desk is giving us attitude, like we don't understand this. Very Very unprofessional. I had to say openly deescalate, He was upsetting us, wife is in pain. And all that was needed just give us our papers and some advice on the next step. I leave them in Gods hand. But i will pray for justice.

Honestly this is the best practice. I have never waited more than 15 min in the waiting room and once in the exam room, maybe another 5-10 at most. They are very thorough and take the time to truly talk to you if you have questions. Dr Rifkin saved the life of my baby and me when I very unexpectedly had a medical incident and had to deliver 12 weeks early. He, Dr Cohen and Jamie checked on me daily in the hospital for a week. I cannot thank enough him and the practice for all care they provided.

After they take your co pay, you're instructed to go to the next waiting area and lo and behold, there's like at least 40 people ahead of you!!! I almost want to walk out but they were smart enough to take my co pay so I feel I'm trapped. I am writing this and the clock is ticking. The room is filled with median age of 75, so I guess the Dr. feels they have all the time to wait. Tick tock. I do feel this is disrespectful to your patients and their time. So.... I finally got called and was told the normal wait time is 2 hrs. I was told this by two people. Then I was told that I had to get my eyes dilated. What? I just had them dilated and there was an issue, that's why I was referred here. That'll be another 3+ hours of time that I would not be able to work. Why wasn't I informed of this when I made the appt? Why can't they look up my records? The referral came from Dr. next door in the same hallway who is in the same hospital network. I feel like they're trying to milk you. Total lack of consideration from this office. It's like they feel you have nothing else better to do but sit around their office. This place feels like a clinic. Come here if you have 2 hrs to wait and possibly the rest of day. There's gotta be lots of other retina specialists who treat you humanely or at least how they would like to be treated.

Front desk staff is not helpful either: They give false wait time estimates (or they also don't understand the doctor's system). If they could at least give accurate estimates, we could plan accordingly, take work calls while waiting, reschedule subsequent appointments, etc. - instead they just always say "you're next". They also do not take phone calls, let alone emails. Very difficult scheduling process. I've had enough of them. I have found a new neurologist and am referring my friends and family there as well.
