When I popped in they still had most sizes left - so if there's any builders or bears out there in need of a new pair.... They also have 25-45% off select Red or Dead boots, Fred Perry training shoes and Rocket Dog sneakers. I tried a pair of divine purple boots on and was determined to treat myself until I stood up and tried to walk. At that point I had to be real honest with myself and say: "SJ, you can do cowboy boots, you can do Cuban heels but there's no way you do 5" rock star boots and not break at least one ankle!" If any ladies out there are up for the challenge, those boots look and feel divine and at £59 for soft leather are a snip. read more

Now I'm a really big fan of Schuh shoe shops (see what I did there?). The first thing that strikes you when you walk into this Schuh in Manchester is that there's just so much choice. There are just shoes of every make and style all over the place. It's ace. It kind of gives you the confidence that there will definitely be something that you really like and will want to buy. And that's a good way to approach shopping. I actually went for a pair of Caterpillar shoes (I know, confusing!) from Schuh. Normally I wouldn't go for this make but they had some interesting high top deck shoes that didn't really look anything like Caterpillar shoes and were perfect for me wearing to work. At £50 they weren't cheap but they were exactly what I was looking for so I was pretty happy. The girl serving me was super friendly and helpful. She must have either been new or just ridiculously nice. It was great, anyway. There was a slight confusion with buying the shoes as it took ages for the box to be brought down from the stockroom, but apart from that, everything was great. read more

My first of many many reviews (so don't be to harsh yelpers!) I must agree with the thoughts of Sarah-Anne - great review by the way.. I recently visited Manchester City Centre on a blustery Saturday afternoon, which made for a very interesting shopping experience.. On the search for some boots, I ascended into the hustle and bustle of Market Street, after searching through many, many, many shoe shops, I wandered into Schuh (Manchester Branch) I must say, this place was definitely the heart and 'sole' behind what can only be described as near perfect! On entering the store, I was greeted by a young lady, who asked "can I help you sir?" a good start to proceedings, i thought. After describing what I was searching for, she aptly located the type of boots that I described..after much deliberation by myself, and the helpfulness of the shop assistant, I decided on what shcuh would best suit for the harsh winter yet to come.. The assistant was friendly, patient and had extremely good customer service skills, which is hard to find with Saturday staff - these days All in all a really good shopping experience, and I will be revisiting Schuh to purchase more footwear in the near future (at least after the Xmas thaw!) read more

Schuhsssssssssss! I love shoes. They literally make me happy. They're my second favourite thing in the world (a cup of tea beats all). And Schuh is my favourite shoe shop! They have what seems like monthly sales. Which seem to always be conveniently starting around payday...hmmmm, those clever clogs! Anyway, the sales are great as it means that I can kind of justify buying some shoes that I do not need, simply because I feel like it would be a crime not to since they are cheaper than they were the day before. I know it makes no sense, I'm a rational thinking person...except when it comes to shoes! My favourite part about Schuh has to be the variety, this means that I can drag anyone here! They have a huge selection of both boys and girls shoes, solving that problem we all have when shopping with men, shoe shopping seems to be their all-time worst thing to do (Not including our lovely Yelper Sam R). Schuh sells everything from work boots to funky trainers to flip flops to kids shoes to high heels and everything in-between...there's something for everyone! I love their Irregular Choice range, definitely the best selection in any shoe shops up north, London (lucky sods) have their own dedicated branch but Schuh do well for me, often stocking exclusives and sometimes even the matching handbags, always reasonable priced and sometimes even putting them in the sale...! read more

Schuh is a bit like Size; it's a shoe shop. No that's not what I meant obviously. I mean it's the same class of shoe shop. A place for cool people. Honestly, you'd better not go in if you are not cool, or you'll be in grave danger of becoming cool. It's the kind of shop that makes shoes cool, with all the latest models and most colourful shoes in the world adorning the shelves and making the populace believe they are worth having. Making people think they can define their identity with a pair of shoes. I think they put something in the shoes to make them attractive as well, because their appeal far exceeds their actual value. Run that by some conspiracy theorists. Of course its actually just commodity fetishism. If you don't know what that is then stop buying shoes for £50 and buy some books. You can literally get the same shoes much cheaper elsewhere, or you can get last years model for half the price. read more

Schuh, I just love this shop. Always massively busy no matter where you visit it, but especially so in the trafford centre as it gets so rammed! If you're looking for a branded shoe whether it's boots, trainers, shoes or wellies then this place tends to have it. Most items are pretty much the rrp, so even when you look elsewhere they tend to tally up on price. Some of the sale items they have are a bargain, but can be limited on sizes if you're average for your gender. This store could do with being a little bigger, as they just have so much on offer it can seem a little crowded! read more
