The best low key theater clean new seats and the employees are the best and made me feel great

So this theater has been in Beloit for a long time and was recently purchased to become the Schaubert theater from the Wildwood group. To start with, the theater is in DIRE need of renovation. The screens are huge, but the seats are dilapidated and the floors are concrete. The overall look makes it seem like a dollar theater in a shady neighborhood. Even the sign outside is missing lights. As far as the movies, most of the time the theaters are empty, even on nights when it's only $5 for any show (Wednesday). The sound and picture quality is adequate, if you can get over the uncomfortable seats. The other unfortunate thing is that the latest movies are at 7pm. Makes it really difficult to do dinner and movie when the last show is at 7pm. The other issue the popcorn. Despite the fact that it's only $5 for a large with free refills, it's always burned. If you are willing to go back and forth, all the sizes of popcorn and drinks all have free refills which is nice. Overall, I think the town of Beloit deserves a better theater. It sucks to have to drive to Rockford to watch a movie, especially if you want to go to a show at night. read more

I wish 0 stars was an option. The name "Luxury 10" is a misnomer. This is the worst theater I have ever been to, and that includes another local theater that had a lice breakout. Dirty, dingy, and disgusting are appropriate adjectives here. Someone in our theater even had to remind them to start the movie 5 minutes after show time. We will not be returning. read more

I really want to like this theater. Here's the good: 1. REALLY affordable. Way less than Showplace. 2. The 80's exterior paint job has been on the building so long it's back in style as retro. 3. It has a HUGE lobby, and clean. 4. The kids that work there are nice people. 5. It's in Beloit, my favorite town, BUT..... I've been to 2 movies there a year apart and both times the screen was so dim it was an awful experience. Star Wars in 3-D was a waste of time. I complained to the management and was told "oh yeah that's the theater with the bulb out". For a year? Sorry guys even though I want to go back, I won't. read more

Ignore the idiots. I go here almost daily thanks to movie pass. There is a large combo for ten bucks. Wednesday it's 10 for a ticket and a medium popcorn and soda. Thursday's it's 5 for a ticket. This is a great place for movies. I love this theatre so much! read more

Go back to Texas LM. Been to this theater many times over many years and although they don't police it, I have never been disturbed by others, cells etc. It is rarely busy so they do not have a lot of extra staff to babysit. I would think if you were that upset you would have gone out and found someone to report this disturbance. There are rude, thoughtless people everywhere-even in Tx; I lived there for a number of years. As far as the popcorn etc, these are overpriced at every theatre-it is ridiculous, but at least the refills are free and that is not true at every theatre. read more

To me, a movie is a movie is a movie. I don't know much about sound or picture quality, but I've never been disappointed here. The staff is friendly and willing to make adjustments when asked (temperature, volume, noisy guests). There is always plenty of yummy popcorn, with free self-serve refills on all sizes of pop and popcorn. The theatres are cleaned well after each show. You can't beat the prices! The one improvement I would suggest would be to have the lights fixed on the exterior of the building, but that doesn't change the positive experiences I've had since this theatre opened over ten years ago. read more

I love this place excelant prices good popcorn, and the theatre is even clean. I been here a few times and theres nothing bad about it one bit. Its 10 times better then chicago theatres. There places suck bad from their stale popcorn all the way down to the sticky floors. The staff here are very friendly and courtious. I do recomend this place and I will continue to come back with my family. Awsome job. read more

Gross popcorn, kids working this theater simply do not care. Avoid this, go to AMC in Machesney Park instead. You'' thank yourself later.

This is a Great Movie theater, nice and clean great popcorn with real butter, but the best is the deals they give, you can't beat that anywhere especially how high everything thing is now days, Love going to the Movies again, can't say enough about the great deals, give it a try you'll like it read more

Its been almost a year since I stopped going to Luxery 10. I sent a complaint on how there was no staff and no popcorn in site for a late showing of a movie. My wife and I never recieved a response. A good amount of time had passed. We had been going the extra 20 minutes to AMC theatres in Machesney for almost a year after that incident. We decided to give them another shot. This time they gave us 2-4 ice cubes for a large pop. We thought "whatever" then later we went to get refills and no staff or ice in site this time. Overpriced and overated. BEWARE LUXERY 10!!!!!! Not plush seating....But Very good picture and sound quality AND AFFORDABLE!!!!! TOOK MY NIECES, AND GRANDKIDS FOR 8 PEOPLE WAS ONLY 65.00. This was with popcorn and pop (free refills on all sizes). My self alone was over $24.00 At AMC In Rockford. read more

We had been paying $100 minimum for a long time at other theaters between admission and snacks so when my husband took the kids on an outing to Schubert's in Beloit he insisted I check it out. 1. It's the same theater (lay out) as the one in Janesville. I remember when these theaters were built and ran the little guys out of town. Wildwood owns the Janesville theater and it is straight garbage. Schubert's purchased the Luxury 10 in Beloit and now operate the location under their own brand. Not local but Wisconsin owned so that's cool. Also far from garbage which is awesome. 2. The theater is pretty out of date as far as decor goes. Our theater also seemed really warm and like no air was circulating. I will say that regardless of the aesthetics and air, the theater was CLEAN. Like really clean. The floors weren't even sticky. This theater has the old seats so be prepared for that as well. They aren't uncomfortable but if you're used to the seats at AMC or Marcus the you're gonna have a bad time. 3. The $10 Tuesday and $5 Wednesday deals are AMAZING. 4. Reasonably priced and fresh concessions. 5. They always have special showings/early premieres that are easy to reserve. 6. The newest movies and all are shown in the Sony 4k. I didn't see the sound specifications but the sound was good. 7. I don't think I've ever encountered such friendly, helpful staff. I would go back for the awesome customer service alone. Bottom line: Schubert's offers a great place (with a few quirks) for affordable family entertainment. The movies are new. The concessions are great (I'm doing pizza next time!) The staff is wonderful. Even their arcade games were in good condition and working. Clean restrooms. The prices are exceptional. Schubert's also doesn't take any bull and I love that! No persons under the age of 18 without an adult after 8:30 p.m. I think? GOOD! We can't wait to see more films here! 4 star rating was because of the air issue, the peeling walls and noise issues in the hall. read more

I don't know where some of these people come from that give the Luxury 10 a poor review.. it's a great place. I've never had burnt popcorn ever, it's always fresh and you can get fresh refills at no charge.. The sound quality is top notch, it's a very modern system, and the picture on all screens are HD - not so in the other towns nearby that someone else suggested. My personal opinion is that you can't go wrong with the Luxury 10 - It's in a nice friendly environment, gets cleaned between shows just like anyplace else and you can't help if kids spill snacks in the halls, etc. The new owners are making repairs and added things like a video marquis just inside by the ticket booths. There are new games in the arcades, and a photo-booth to get those funny pics with your friends, etc. To the long time customer who likes the safety and comfort (As well as courtesy and a smile at the concession) it's a grand place to go with the kids, etc. BTW- prices are cheaper than the other towns. For a theater this size, with 10 theaters in a small community it's not unusual to be less than elbow to elbow in the audiences.. and isn't nice not to have to walk past 30 people just to get out of the seats and get a refill?! Give them time to repair the things neglected by the previous owners.. the seating and view are great with few disturbances like in nearby Machesney Park and Rockford - (and your car isn't broken into while watching a flick like in Rockford's market) or other areas. I'm thrilled to be able to go to Luxury 10, get greeted with a smile, and enjoy a huge popcorn and drink at a decent price (everyone knows theaters make their money on the concessions - not the ticket sales).. I suspect a couple reviews here were from out of town snobs, or employees from other theaters... and to that I say if you're so great why don't you smile and give me fresh made popcorn ... eh? Great to be visiting Beloit.
