If you have a serious waterproofing or foundation problem requiring professional work, Windler…read morewould be a good choice. Having lived in this house with a walkout basement for about 20 years, we had not anticipated the basement water leakage problem that occurred a few months ago after an exceptionally heavy thunderstorm. The affected area of the wall was about 10 feet wide. We called two companies for advice and estimates. One was Windler in Lawrence. The other was a company in KC. Windler sent its general manager, Patrik Trautloff. Patrick explained what would have to be done to fix the source of the problem. The work would require excavation to the footing in the area of the leak, installation of external waterproofing on that area of the foundation wall, and replacing the external drain tile in that area of the footing. The other firm's bid was somewhat less expensive and could be scheduled more rapidly. Basically it would deal with the effects of the problem inside the basement instead of the cause outside. Since we have a finished walkout basement, we wanted the cause fixed. We contracted with Windler. The firm arrived as scheduled with an impressively professional crew. They completed the work in two days while using a mini-excavator machine for the excavation. If you want cheap cosmetic repair of the interior of your basement, you might want to use a different firm. But if you want real professionals to fix the cause, Windler would be a good choice.

Even when I was purchasing the fireplace, I would have to stop by the office in order to contact them. But the most recent problem is kind of the last straw. I called on Monday December 16, 2024 and told the answering machine that my fireplace wasn't working. I called again on Wednesday, December 18 and still got an answering machine. I finally received a return call on Friday, December 20, five days after my first call. The message was "we really can't help you until after January 2. Call us then." So I was without a fireplace during the entire holiday. I called on January 2 and got scheduled for the 8th. I understand this is a busy season, but there is no excuse not to at least return a phone call within 48 hours. Unfortunately I can't recommend this company.

No urgency, just when available. Driveway marked with reflectors to show path. Truck came out a day earlier than predicted. Spent about 1 hour clearing driveway. Went off driveway one time, I helped get snow blocking wheels cleared so he could get back going. This took another 15 minutes. No shoveling required for the job and we didn't ask to have snow removed to bare surface. I received a bill for $630. We contacted Willowridge to see if there had been a mistake. They said no mistake, there is a fee for the first 4", then an add on for every additional inch. We paid the bill and sent a letter of complaint. We never got a response. I called several other landscape services to see what they would charge- $125 to $200 was the range from 3 contractors. I will never use Willowridge Landscaping for any additional services and will let people know how we were treated. Get a quote first!
