It's also one of the few breakfast places in Vienna that isn't packed on a Saturday morning. In fact, the ambience is pleasantly quiet and calming. There were two seating areas: The tables inside were cozy but the terrace was delightful. The nice server promptly took the orders: As we were a group of six, we ordered several dishes so we could try a little bit of everything and of course, the famous Wiener Schnitzel with mixed salad by which every restaurant in Austria is measured. Generally speaking, if that dish fails , usually it is a bad sign. But here everything was fresh, flavorful and served generously. The " Wiener "  like they called it here was crispy on the outside with a wonderful breading and the veal was tender and tasty. I discovered the scrambled eggs with wild mushrooms and I could see myself eating it for breakfast too. The dumplings were huge but the flavor wasn't lost . The fish was well cooked . Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. When we mentioned that it was my birthday, they brought out a complimentary dessert with a dramatic sparkler decoration. Nice! The atmosphere is cozy and interesting, with lots of original art on the walls. When we're back in Vienna we would come back again.
