I am so happy to write this review for a truly gifted and unique practitioner…read more When I went to see Dr. Audrey Long, I had never been to a chiropractor and did not know what to expect. She treated me for severe low back pain combining the standard tools of the trade (x-ray, physical exam, manipulation, muscle work) and an intuitive approach that i can only describe as "using her hands to talk directly with your body" (I think its actually called Network Technique). Dr. Long's integrated approach really works. She can certainly move joints, but she places this physical work into a broader context of healing that addresses your problems from a full person perspective. Her treatments help you to feel better, but what they really do is help you to feel more complete. This is why I can speak so vividly about treatment that I received from her over 12 years ago! Portland is so fortunate to have Dr. Long.

I have struggled with allergies for over 20 years living in California. Most of my allergies were…read moreto weeds and a few trees which were discovered through allergy testing. Over time it progressed into allergy induced asthma and went from seasonal to all year round. I tried everything, and I followed all the doctor's instructions. I was on so much medicine, it was difficult to concentrate or even wake up in the morning. I did the allergy shots for 2 years with no relief. Every day I was struggling to breathe. I couldn't take it anymore, so I moved to Oregon. I was symptom free for about 2 years, which was amazing, but the symptoms returned. I made a trip to Texas, BIG mistake! My allergies were over the top. My symptoms turned into hives daily, numbness in my hands, feet and lips and a feeling of panic because I just couldn't get enough air. I went to the urgent care a couple of times because I thought I was dying. I'd wake up in the middle of the night unable to breathe with the feeling of doom happening. It was horrible! I came back to Oregon, but I couldn't get the symptoms under control. My body was in complete shock. A friend had suggested NAET treatments. I found a naturopath that did NAET, and I had a few treatments with her. I got some relief from her treatments but the biggest issue I had with this doctor was her lack of communication, nor did she care to hear my concerns. I began searching for another practitioner with good reviews, and I didn't care how far I had to go to see them. I found Amarkaur who had amazing reviews. Thank You Lord, for sending me to her! She's amazing! She took the time to explain exactly what my body was going through She did a much more thorough test on me and she found that I had way more allergies than I thought. Within a couple of treatments with Amarkaur, I felt a dramatic improvement. She discovered that I was allergic to, just to name a few big ones: gluten, dairy, household chemicals, dyes from clothing, and, of course, different pollens. I was always told that there wasn't a cure for allergies, well I disagree, the NAET treatment really works! I went back to California to test it out and I had NO reaction!! This NEVER happened before. Every time I went to California or just pass through, I would instantly start struggling to breathe. Not this time! I just wanted to share my experience because maybe this treatment will be your lifesaver as it was for me. Amarkaur is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and determined to find out what your allergy is. I can't say enough about her, she went above and beyond to help me be well. I am forever grateful for you, God bless you Amarkaur!

I'm hopeful that my thumb will get better soon.

This office is absolutely amazing! The office manager, Maria, remembers my son and I by name, BOTH doctors are kind and talented physicians, and the massage therapists (Sylvia) are crazy good at what they do!! I trust this place to adjust my son and have since age 10 when he started here. My dad unexpectedly passed away during his 2nd battle with cancer, a very traumatic, heart breaking experience. I consider the people at this office family. They are willing to fit us in at a moments notice and truly care about how we are doing!! This place is NOT an injury mill, but rather is a busy office because of how well they treat their patients!! I love this office!!!

Well, I can always count on Allie to home in on how to get me feeling and moving normally. She is super focused on finding the problem and gives great exercises for me to do at home to do as a partner in the cure. I rarely come in, I admit, and that is because she does such a great job in solving my aches quickly that I simply don't have to keep returning for a long while. She fixes me up. This is not one of those chiropractic clinics that wants to reschedule every week into infinity. She is one-pointed, solves the problem, and you are out of there after a few treatments (at least in my case it has worked out this way). Also, the office has always tried its best to fit me in when I've had a last minute debilitating pain. So, thank you Allie and Neighborhood Chiropractic!
