They were old enough to know better and the parents knew better. I saw a boy thrust kick a 4yr lil girl in her back as she was adjusting to get off the bottom of the slide and yelled MOVE to her. Come to find out they were not together. Her Dad was very upset and so dis another Dad see it and was alarmed and said something. I would suggest to go elsewhere with your kids unless you want to box it out with parents or kids. Save the kiddies from being hurt. Its nice but the traffic it brings in isnt a mix.

My daughter loves coming to the playground and frequently asked to go to the new Ravens park as she calls it. The playground has so many fun things for the kids to do. There are also a few pavilions to use for gatherings. There are a few Port A Potty available and full restrooms near the football fields. There is also a walking trail near the pavilions near the baseball fields. There is typically an Ice Cream Truck stationed in the parking lot especially on hot days. So just because the stated hours are open during the week, doesn't mean there's anything going on and you can't like go behind the fence and there's no digs or anything, or even any place to walk. Sure there's picnic tables if you wanna just sit and eat your lunch with a bunch of corporate office buildings all around but it's definitely not something I would drive 45 minutes to unless you're actively going to one of the scheduled interpretive program.

The trail around the water is super easy to follow and gives you great views the whole way. It's the perfect mix of nature and community, peaceful but never boring. What makes it even better is the atmosphere. People are out with their dogs, families stroll by, and sometimes you'll even catch someone playing guitar by the benches. In the summer, the lake area gets even more fun with local events, live music, and festivals right by the water, great energy without feeling too crowded. Plus, it's right near the Columbia Lakefront area, so you can grab a coffee, ice cream, or bite to eat after your workout. Clean paths, beautiful scenery, and a laid-back vibe. Lake Kittamaqundi is definitely one of my favorite spots in Columbia.
