Updating my review as we have been at the center for another year, and leadership has turned over…read more My son is newly 3 and still loves going to daycare! His teachers are wonderful partners in raising him. He moves between the 2s class and the 3s class regularly and is always so excited to find out what class he will be with that day as we prepare to transition him up to the 3s once his potty training is a bit more consistent. His teachers have been great working through the process of potty training! I still highly recommend this location.

My almost…read more3 year old daughter has been enrolled there for almost 2 years and she has blossomed beautifully during this time. The staff at kindercare have been extremely loving towards my daughter and have provided the foundation for not only her social skills but for her learning. At such a young age the kids are exposed to various learning activities that teaches them all sorts of things from fossils to meditation. As an elementary school teacher for 7 years I can't stress how important it is that children start elementary school with a good foundation. Kindercare offers just that. At the age of 2 my daughter knows her shapes, her colors, how to count to 30, her alphabet, letter sounds, the days of the week, the months of the year and so much more. I know that when she starts pre-k or kindergarten, she will be more than ready. Everyday when I pick her up she tells me all that she did that day and she tells me about all of her classmates and teachers. Being able to interact with different kids and teachers has been invaluable to her social development and the development of her communication skills. Most importantly my daughter enjoys being there. My family and I love the app because we get to see my daughter during the day. The pictures and videos are a testament to all that they do there. I am beyond appreciative of all the staff members that have interacted with my daughter and have even facilitated/ helped with her potty training journey! They even offer Phonics to the kids, which helps them build the foundation for reading and writing. I have nothing but love and appreciation for Kindercare and know that my daughter will have very fond memories of her early years and a strong foundation for the years to come.

I STRONGLY advise AGAINST Children's Lighthouse of Katy-Elyson due to serious issues with child…read moresafety, staff training, and lack of transparency. After paying a high tuition rate for video monitoring for over a year, I learned--following an incident where a substitute teacher pushed my child aggressively and withheld supplies from her following the assault--that no footage was being recorded as of September 2024, despite rising tuition and no prior notice. High staff turnover and insufficient training have compromised child supervision, with repeated incidents (bullying, pushing, choking, etc.) going unreported and no consequences for harmful behavior. Security measures are inadequate (emphasis on no one manning the front desk at all times during staff hours, parents trailing behind each other, no video footage to go back to review, etc.), and the Curriculum Director, Sutopia, has exhibited unprofessional conduct toward families and staff, as I witnessed firsthand. Food quality and hygiene practices are also below basic standards due to no certified dietician / nutritionist being hired. Although other parents received tuition refunds for similar issues, the owner, Mira, initially refused to honor a full refund that she promised until I threatened further action. BEWARE: This facility has multiple recent reports with state child licensing and is not a safe environment for young children. The owner will LIE to you and make it seem like there are no issues to get your business because the daycare is suffering financially due to the violations detailed above. After this experience and the lack of professionalism, my child will NOT be returning to this facility any longer. I have sufficient evidence of these claims so parents please be mindful! Other parents have shared the same concerns and have also withdrew their child(ren). I'm not taking any personal stabs at anyone or the business, however as a parent I understand the importance of sending our kids to safe and healthy environments.
