Been going to Dr. Schoettinger for more years than I can remember. Always got good care without the typical lectures.

It is refreshing to feel like someone is listening. The whole operation feels less robotic and cold. Keep in mind that because they are actually listening, sometimes appointments take a bit longer, and sometimes this means you might wait a bit - worth the wait. The process (but not the expertise) feels more like what a doctor's office used to be like 20 years ago, and I like that.

If you need maintenance meds for high blood pressure cholesterol it's all right, but if you wanna be heard, don't waste your time, bro, they act like they know more than you (even though you tell your symptoms clear)and they don't listen. I've been suffering with chronic pancreatitis for six long months. Was suffering one day asked if I could be seen I could be seen for a tetanus shot, but I couldn't be treated for my pain and suffering, but they were open to give a shot. I had to go to urgent care where the doctor there was kind of enough to give me the things that I need for my pancreatitis, such as enzymes , nausea, medicine, with toradol a trio of course that made me better in 24 hours. And don't bother telling them what hurts they'll send you to another doctor or say it's all in your head, if you're a mental health patient because if your a mental health patient you aren't allowed to have bad days(they have to be normal all the time.) The woman doctor She's the worst and I refuse to see her.Her husband (the other so called Dr. is somewhat approachable and sometimes open to ideas, but in the end doesn't listen. I've never went in asking for pain meds outright . You don't do that, you tell them something hurts and they're supposed to give you something for it and I've been telling them for six months since October of last my year. My labs have shot up and down and they're clueless every time I went in. I said, could it be this or could it be that? I'm not a doctor. I can't figure it out. I didn't go to school for it. This place is a joke. The only cool person is the head nurse charge Jenny. She'll listen to you and have empathy and compassion. And the secretary is cool to

Even my doc was very personable and engaging. Abby in the lab is a real jewel: compassionate and skillful. So glad to have them as my health providers.

I've been going to Wetherington Family Medicine since I was about 10. I see Dr. Kenneth Farber and…read moreI'll put it this way, he's not great, but I haven't switched either. That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.

This was my first trip to a doctor's office in over a year, and until I was diagnosed with…read morediabetes, I NEVER visited one unless I was having very painful symptoms. I never got physicals (which I still won't), and never submitted to the recommended exams that men should get when we see age fifty in the rear view mirror. That being said, I didn't know what to expect when I arrived there as a new patient last Friday, but I was very intimidated. I was quite certain they would press me to undergo various examinations that I'd never had done, and in fact the very thought of them had literally made my skin crawl. (So I never will submit to them, and I'll deal with whatever consequences may befall me because of it). Exactly why I'm so adamant regarding this is beyond the scope of this review --- however it's well within in it to say that, although some of these procedures were recommended by the nurse and doctor, when I said "no", that was the end of it. And when I told the doctor that I also had gender preferences (requirements, actually) with respect to examinations, I was told they could accommodate me there also. I felt that was very respectful and it helped to ease my anxiety. About the only negative thing was that when I called to make my first appointment, I was given the names of two available doctors --- and of course I knew nothing about either one. Only when I asked, did they tell me that one of them was a female. I don't allow examinations by females, so if I had unwittingly selected one and hadn't realized it until I'd arrived to my appointment --- I'd have been very upset and would've likely been back to square-one regarding my treatment for what was then uncontrolled diabetes. But that issue was thankfully circumvented, and overall my visit to Family Practice Associates went very well!

I cannot say enough good things about this facility, and specifically Dr. Huang and phlebotomist…read moreBob. The front desk is courteous and helpful. I will say they are better in person. Sometimes on the phone they seem to be rushing, but when you are in front of them, they take such good care. Dr. Huang is absolutely worth the 30 minute drive from my home. He is focused, answers questions and concerns with compassion and clarity, and asks good follow up questions so you don't leave feeling like you have missed something. It's awesome. Bob, hands down, is a treasure. Every single time I have needed an immunization, flu shot, or blood drawn, this man has been positive, caring, and gentle. He practices painless precision and as someone who would rather eat glass than get a needle in my arm, I can say he has never been impatient or whoopsied and caused pain. He just gets in. Plus, with his beard, he looks a little like Santa. It is a wonderful practice with good people. If you are looking for a PCP, I cannot recommend them higher.

I was recommended to Dr. Metz's office for consultation and allergy testing, I was quickly scheduled. I was immediately greeted when I walked into the office by the receptionist and she efficiently double checked my information and I only had to update one form for them (excellent!). I was called back within 5 minutes, basically enough time to fill out the form - seriously :-) !! My nurse was super nice and explained everything that was going to take place for my appointment. Dr. Metz came in and spent a significant amount of time with me going over my history and finding out what kind of problems I was having. She then explained what the allergy testing would consist of. My nurse came back in, and again took the time to explain the testing and asked if I had any questions before we began. The actual testing was quick and painless, there are no needles involved - it's just a skin scratch now - bonus- I suppose! After all that, Dr. Metz came back in and again, spent another significant amount of time with me going over the results and a plan of action. I never once felt rushed or that they did not have time for me. It really feels like they cater to their patients. I am so happy, I definitely recommend Dr. Metz and her staff if you are having any kind of allergy, sinus or asthma problems! They so totally rock!
