But this place has a very good selection of microbrewed beers that matches some of the best beers in the region. Their selections are fairly limited and need to look up the list of what's available, but the ones I have consumed so far, every single beer was just amazing. Their Weiss bier was very good. Even my brother-in-law from Munich thought their Weiss Bier was really good. They have very good food as well. I really liked their Schweinshaxe. I usually associate Schweinshaxe as a greasy heavy good, but not their's. It is not greasy but the meat just falls off the bone and very tender. We have tried their flamkuhen and it was very good as well. But I would avoid their BBQ ribs. Only thing you would get is very greasy ribs and nothing else. You would need more than a pint of beer to wash that thing down. Maybe that's the whole point. Their parking is very limited and street parking is very challenging but not impossible. If you are working/visiting for Agilent in Waldbronn, then this would be a good place to visit even for lunch. It is located about a 10 min walk. The staff are generally friendly except Friday and Saturday nights since they are very busy. And most staff we dealt with spoke very good English, but try to speak a bit of German goes a long way.

Markgrafenkeller *Margraves-cellar delivers! The kitchen is excellent as the picture of my Venison plate gives heed to, but come for the ambience and service. On this weekday that we came the rooms were filled with local, well healed Germans. The venison was medium rare, as venison easily gets tough if left in the pan too long. The gravy and whole cherries and pfifferlinge (mushrooms) that adorned the venison cutlets were something to relish (every single bite), and I've had these before, but these were chewy but not tough. It was a heavenly mixture done right. Markgrafenland is the local region, that is the most SW corner of Germany. Germany's (warm) Tuscany, and you can certainly feel that vibe and ambience this cellar restaurant has, that takes you back to the 1500's when the Markgrafen (Margraves) were in their prime. 500 years of transport in a few steps down into "cellar speisse". Guten Appetit, you just found a slice of German culinary heaven, and eat slowly, speak softly, and enjoy the well trained staff and the "Stimmung" that is so European.

The service is a real treat and always outstanding and that is one reason I enjoy good German restaurants and this restaurant.
