I was referred by the ER to Dr. Navarrete and called his office to be seen after an injury to my…read morehand. The ER doc at St. Luke's South Shore told me I would need and MRI to determine tendon damage. He said they don't do MRI's in the ER even though they are a full fledged hospital. I called Dr. Navarrete's office and scheduled an appointment for later on in the day. After a day of playing phone tag, I was called back after I scheduled appointment and told to just ice and elevate without even being seen. IMO this is poor bedside manner and poor doctoring to determine what I need before even seeing me with your own eyes. Now I have to go to see my primary doctor when this could have all been taken care of in the ER. After that I called and cancelled my appointment. Shortly after I got a voice mail from an orthopedic doctor which I am sure I should have been directed to all along.

Dr McCarty came to me highly recommended. Dr. McCarty performed surgery twice on me, once on my…read moreankle and once on my shoulder. Both procedures went perfectly and surpassed my expectations tenfold. On my shoulder operation Dr. McCarty saw my main issue was different than what other doctors suggested and he fixed my issue (bone spur) completely and confidently. I had been in pain for 2 years and four days after my surgery I was healthy enough to play first base in my rec softball league. Not only does Dr. McCarty do an A+ job but the other doctor who works with him, Steve Zabel, does an excellent job. I not only consider Dr. McCarty and Zabel fantastic doctors but personal friends for the work they have done to make my life better. Brad Larson

Well my wife did as she's a cog in the Aurora machine at setup an appointment for me. Good idea to stop by if you have issues. Being fit enough my particular rehab is also FREE :) Service was short questionnaire, and a thorough enough physical evaluation of my cruddy joints. Bunch of test moves and a hands-on evaluation which was a truly skilled version of the what the wife practiced on me for one of her graduate classes. Gave me free stretch bands and instructions to help overcome a wicked long lasting strain, and ideas to help my overall knee cruddiness. (And if I wanted to make it a life goal, the opportunity to devote hours a day to really fixing them, but I would rather go out to eat). They have at least one room of equipment there ready to work with. Yay! I really am a fan.

Not once did I feel like the staff was rushing me in any way and all of my questions were thoroughly explored and answered. I've seen a number of orthopedic doctors in my years. He ranks at the top.
